    Flickering / vertical lines all over screen


    Hi all!

    This morning when I started Red Dead 2 the menu (except for the black part) was flickering really fast.

    When the game loads there's white-ish vertical lines all over my screen.

    I thought this was Red Dead related, unistalled the game, did a hard reset of the console, unplugged the power cord, changed my HDMI cable and… No change whatsoever Flickering / vertical lines all over screen :(

    I fired up Shadow of Mordor and I've got the exact same issue.

    My home screen is fine however, Youtube and Netflix seem to randomly give me the stripe-screen every x seconds…

    I'm really hoping my console isn't broken and that you guys might know a fix…

    Hey there Wittier!

    Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this issue trying to play your games normally.

    I would say that if you have already tried those steps as well as the ones previously posted, that it might behoove you to try what we call a soft factory reset.
    It's a reset of your console back to factory settings but one that does not uninstall any of your games or apps and is a really good troubleshooting step for most issues.

    Just make sure that before you go ahead with it, that you do know all of the sign-in information for any/all of your accounts(asthey
    will be removed) and have easy access to your internet network.

    Also make sure that you select the option denoted
    reset and keep my games and apps.

    sounds like vertical tearing try turning vertical free sync on your tv/monitor on
