flickering screen, juddering motion problemen???

Hello,

I bought an xbox one sunset edition two days ago but have encountered some what I think could be problems. When I go to the game store and open the witcher 3 and opening the first picture I have some flickering in the screen or judder for 1 sec, when I switch
to the next picture the same, switching back and forward between the pictures shows the problem. The system or interface has trouble to immediately sharpen the whole pictures. Strange because it's Just pictures. The same thing I notice when playing assasins
creed black flag and move the camera quickly. In my other games I have not noticed this so far. My screen is an Samsung plasma ps51d6900 51inch. I have also coupled the xbox one to an 32 inch lcd screen from LG and the juddering or flickering is far less but
stil present.

Do I have a faulty system or is this normal? Could anyone try the same thing and go in the game store to the witcher or minecraft and switch between the pictures at full screen to see if You also have sharpness problems for 1 sec when the screen is juddering
or flickering?

Trials fusion - yet another game with screen tearing!

I've seen it. It's more of a judder/blurring affect. I'm starting to wonder if it has more to do with certain TV's. My Samsung LED has 120hz auto motion plus, I need to have it set to clear otherwise I notice the screen juddering more often.

Screen Flicker

I remember having a similar issue in the past with flickering. Does your TV have a "motion-smoothing" feature in the TV settings? You will want to have that disabled.

Tonight I tested to open the same pictures of the witcher 3 trough internet Explorer searching in Google pictures and now all was fine. I guess it's the lag of the Xbox one interface thats causing the juddering when I open pictures in de gamestore. Secondly
after some reading on the web I think the flickering I see in assasins creed black flag is the common pixel shimmer to find all over the internet. So I think my console is fine afterall.

does your tv have an auto motion plus feature? If it does there should be a setting for judder. This setting reduces the screen jumping when there is motion on the screen. This is especially useful when watching action movies.

No, I haven’t. I don’t see why that would only affect interlaced video Blu Ray motion, though, or why it’s only happening recently.

Footage that plays on the menu screens also has no judder, but when I hit play and we get to scenes from interlaced video, there the judder returns.

I did as you said, and it hasn’t helped. I still see the motion judder on the interlaced Blu Ray disc playback.

As it happens, I have an older copy of the same program on a DVD. I put that into the player and tried it. It looks much less sharp, as I would expect from a DVD, but the same scenes did NOT have the motion judder that the Blu Ray did.
