    Flickering Menu


    I can't stop the menu on my xbox flickering. It goes down to the bottom of every menu (any page on the console) and flickers up and down between the two last options. I can't get into any games or use it at all.

    I've tried different controllers, completely resetting my console and several different accounts but it always returns to the same problem.

    Shut it down holding x button on the console for 10 sec. Unplug the power cord for 10 minutes. Put it back and turn the console on. Let us know. If that not helps try factory reset with option keep my games and apps. Link. Is
    the console on a good, ventilated place, is there any noise? Put some compressed air in the back and on the sides. Is console hot? Also, check your HDMI cable and try different port on tv. Try different tv if the problem persists.

    Last question: are you by any chance in the insider program? Have you changed your video settings on console or tv recently? If all this don't solve the problem than that must be hdmi port on your console.

    So, the flickering I was having with my TV was due to a bad HDMI cable. Swapped it out and the flickering stopped. Xbox still thinks the TV can support HDR but that it's not turned on, but I still can't select that menu option. Oh well, at least the flickering
    stopped!

    I'm having the exact problem basically I'm on any xbox menu and random colours/ words flicker in the background or on the app tiles. But when a game is running the menus are just fine (no interferences or anything) but as soon as that game is closed the
    flickering comes back. Tell me I'm not the only one who's experiencing this problem.

    Live TV picture is flickering.

    To add, my cable box picture does not do this when directly connected, as well as my xbox one's picture does not flicker in any other menu or in game
