Flickering lined on screen following a freeze-switch off-switch on. Only happens in game. Any ...

Hi thanks for that advice

I followed the instructions but it isn't what I'm experiencing.

The disc plays, I get no error message on the screen but the screen freezes over a dark blue or dark green with thin stripes across the screen and I cant access any instructions or do anything other than press the on off switch.

Have you any other ideas?

I have a Samsung TV but I experienced screen flickering with my set as well. Switching ports and cables did not help but what did was to make sure that the TV was on before the xbox. Once I turned the setting off in the xbox to power on and off my TV I
haven't had the problem any more.

My console did the same after our power went off unexpectedly

Once it booted up, green lines were at the top of the screen

I pressed and held the power button until the console turned off

I then waited for the controller to switch off. I then switched the console on with the controller

The console booted up without the green lines this time

What do you mean by cuting out

Di you mean the screen flickers off for 10secs

If so then replace rhe hdmi cable usually the one included with the xbox

If you are using a receiver or switch then use direct

The best connection is direct

Then optical out to receiver

If you use a switch becareful which brand you usr I bought 4 beforr I found a good brand that didnt flicker

This happrned regardless of console

Hello, I just all of the above including the console reset and HDMI switch with tv updated to the most recent firmware. My console seems to work without the screen flickering when I unplug it and clear my alternate mac address. But once I turn off my Xbox and load a game up without unplugging and clearing alternate mac address, it flickers.
