Flawed Reputation system - stuck in avoid me and good player simultaneously

And yes you can recover by playing non party games or privately with friends and hope they don't think your unsportmanlike behaviour is bad

Because more reports will only slow you down

And recovery isn't instant never winter or any mmorpg that doesn't rely on matchmaking will make matches easier

 

Friends will onky be able to be 4 against each other since you would have to be invited into a party match

Or you can continue with your current rep and play with the other bad sportmans I'm sure you don't want thst

Getting blocked does certainly negatively affect your reputation. See here: "Recently, however, we noticed that some players were using blocks to avoid playing against upstanding players, as well as negatively impact their rep, specifically in ranked play.

I'll describe to you what is happening in a large amount of detail because you seem to think "play nice" is the only solution to this unfair system:

- I played Overwatch exclusively

- Overwatch is a 6v6 FPS

- I played only with a full team for every game

- Every single player that was on my team, was a friend and there were no issues in our interactions (see your comment about boasting, not communicating, lack of teamwork, showboating, unsportsmanship)

- My team won games a lot

- As you win an rank up, you play against other players in the same skill area (no competitive ranking, quick play)

- My team faced other teams multiple times, as in we played against the same people over and over)

- The other team avoids me because they do not want to matchmake against me anymore. (see above link #2)

- There is no voice communication with the enemy team in-game so there is no trash talking

- Because I was avoided by players of similar skill, our team ended up playing teams that were even lower skill, and crushed them too, causing more and more blocks

Playing non-party games is not an option to improve reputation, as you must play with more random players and not get blocked in order to restore reputation. I tried Neverwinter and the Avoid Me status carries over into trying to form groups. I sat in matchmaking
for over an hour without a single person getting matched.

The overall issue at hand is that players are abusing the block system in order to circumvent playing against stronger opponents. Blocking a player does indeed hurt their reputation, and good players are getting punished, hard. Your solution to "play nice"
means that in order to maintain a high level of reputation, I need to lose games on purpose so that people are willing to play against me again. This breaks all the intention of what a competitive game is supposed to be. In these games that we play, there
is supposed to be a winner and a loser. The winners should not be punished because the losers don't like losing.

TL;DR: The notion of "playing nice" does not work with the current blocking system. Player blocks are valid, but it should not hurt the reputation of the blocked player - that is what reports are for.

Edit: I see what you mean now. I am indeed back to good reputation. I still do want to keep attention on this topic for anyone else that is a victim of the avoid player abuse.

 

Yes I see, no way would only two reports would do that. hopefully official support would chime in.

As I said previously, it's the blocking that hurts reputation. And the enforcement website does not show how many times you have been blocked, just the reports.

Spartan, you're wasting your time. I've been stuck on "avoid me" for four months now and nobody is helping. Playing games isn't helping. Calling support and posting on the enforcement forums hasn't helped either. What I don't understand is that my friends
posted on the enforcement forums and got their reputations fixed but I have yet to so any improvement. THEIR reputations were fixed despite what the guy in this thread is telling you.

 

Never mind. It seems that your problem's been fixed. I still can't play any online games because of my reputation...

 

I agree that the system is definitely broken. It took at least 3 months for my rep to be restored. I am not giving up on bringing the issue to peoples attention.

 

Thank you. I'm seemingly the only person I know who still has this problem. Everyone else who was avoided has gotten their reputation fixed. I'm really losing hope.
