Flawed reputation system "avoid me"

My friends and I are only 10. I use xbox live to play with my friends at school and only really play Terraria or Minecraft. I have been given a bad reputation for absolutely no reason and as a result now have 3 stars but i have never been any bother. I
used to always have 5 orange stars and was proud of this. I cannot play multiplayer because of this error and i was wondering how to be restored to "Good Player".

Contacting the enforcement team has got me no response.

Is there a flaw in the reputation system and i have been placed in the 'Avoid Me" zone in error?

Please can i be restored to 'Good Player" as this is upsetting me and affecting my ability to enjoy my experience of Xbox Live with my friends

Onyx, one thing is there is no way to upvote an account on the ONE as far as I know. They removed that option. a1000, you can try to play the co-op campaign of a game with friends, others with like problems have informed me that this does help, though I
can not confirm that. You can also go to the forums of the games that you play on this site, and post looking for others with like rep. Set up a time where you can all play, and this will help all of you. Just remember that you will have to play co-op, or
figure out a way where you can have all like rep players on VS matches.

Sorry to hear it. However, the reputation for the Xbox One console is specifically set up to disallow false complaints. They are all investigated.

The best way to get your reputation back up is to play games online with friends. If you can get others that you play against to upvote your gamertag then the Avoid Me rep will improve so you can play online again.

In the meantime, if you don't have friends that you can play with you'll only be able to play online with others who have an Avoid Me rep.

 

Hi there, the Xbox 360 does not work the same was as the Xbox One, so there is no 'avoid me' reputation and the reputation stars have no effect on match making on the 360.

Your profile looks really new though and I am finding it a little hard to believe you were at 5 stars as every gamertag starts at 3. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the starts increase while playing any game online and not receiving player reviews or receiving
positive ones increase the reputation stars.

Have you gone to see what your preferred player stats are? I've know people who are 80% avoid and still have 5 stars....

 

Actually,on the 360 your stars go up faster if someone avoids you as to preferring you.The rep system on the 360 has always been broken &,as mentioned,has no impact on wether or not you can play online.

Your stars do go up by just playing online so carry on doing that.

No one can reset your rep i'm afraid.

 

To be honest i'm the parent of who is only in primary school. He definitely started with 5 stars and unfortunately although the reporting system is an excellent idea in the hands of youngsters without much understanding it can be horrendous!

He has unfortunately been the subject of a subtle form of bullying with one boy in his class friending him then defriending him depending whether or not this boy wants him to play on his lands or not.

This leads to my child being left out because he cannot join his friends in the land or join the friends lands if this other boy is there as his settings are such that he can only play with friends and i'm not prepared to change it to everyone just to by
pass this boy who has defriended him.

The boy posted posted bad reports which has caused my son to have a 50% avoidance rate and his stars have now fallen to 3......as you can imagine this is upsetting to him as he thinks other people think badly of him and it's like being at school to him and
he equates it to getting into trouble.

You can probably tell i don't know a lot about xbox but as a mum i just want my son's profile back the way it was with the 5 stars so that he stops feeling upset and that he is in trouble for doing nothing and not to let this other boy spoil his fun of xbox.

I just wondered how the stars go back to 5? Does it just happen in time or can i have them reset?

 

It would just happen over time. As stated above, all accounts do start with 3 stars. So it is possible he never has been at 5 stars. I don't think I've ever seen someone with 5 stars ever lose any stars.

the reputation system in place on the xbox one is too flawed and punishes long standing "good players" in just a short time! As stated by program manager Micheal Dunn at this official xbox page
news.xbox.com/.../games-reputation-feature a player would have received SEVERAL notifications before getting avoid me reputation status. It also states that the system is set
to take into account all the multiplayer matches without "avoid me" incidents to take into account all the good hours you've played multiplayer. Well a) there was only one notification from dropping to yellow from green and no "several notifications" of
any kind that I was getting close to or need to avoid "avoid me" reputation status. Also b) this happened in a 2 week time from grievers on a very "sore losing" competitive multiplayer game of RISK. They didnt like when I would team up with other players
to take them out faster but initial alliances are always needed in world war...duh!

Anyways to say the least i've had good standing player reputation and played 1000's of multiplayer matches just fine on xbox live since the early 2000's and now this system in place punishes me in a 2 week period of time from my behavior in ONE Game and
can no longer play any multiplayer matches on bf4, gta online, cod aw zombies, not ANY of my other multiplayer games work. Enforcement team isnt any help because they dont even know how the system works, they state for players to play multiplayer matches
without incident and suggest to have other players give "good rep" not even knowing obviously how the system works! There currently isnt a way for other gamers to "good rep" you on xbox one nor do any gamers I know including myself ever go give feedback when
you had a good experience with someone!

This whole system in place is rubbish and im living proof why it doesnt work. Gamers give bad rep more than good rep naturally, there isnt even a way anymore for players to even give good rep, and it obviously doesnt take into account the countless hours
of good multiplayer gaming i've done over a decade's worth of time or even since Nov. 13 on this new system. Who is going to undo this wrong, chat support, "talk to enforcement", enforcement, "you'll have to play multiplayer matches without incident and have
players give good rep on you and will take quite some time". (even though you cant do either of these things and is just a spinoff). Forum mod's/ambassadors, "you should post your feedback ideas on uservoice". (been there done that, am I suppose to wait
months or years not playing multiplayer waiting for them to finally take notice of the build up's of complaints on flawed system?). Nobody at MS seems to take accountability or know how to treat a paying customer, selling me games and then taking away my
multiplayer for actions from one game in a short period of time without proper warnings in place that Micheal Dunn stated on your official website is suspect of a fraudulent system in place.
