Flawed reputation system "Avoid Me" (Sent by Xbox Support)

As you can tell by the title this is a post concerning an individuals reputation status and how it can go from "Good Player" to "Needs work" to the dreaded "Avoid Me" status all in a few minutes if you are falsely reported. It is actually what occurred to
me. Long story short, I play Overwatch competitively, I hover in and out of the Top 500 leader boards. After returning from having not play the early weeks of May I matched with a few popular overwatch streamers. One was
[Mod Removed] in the enemy team and another individual who I do not remember his name. Him and his two friends with whom he had teamed up with were trash talking
[Mod Removed], a really good Pharah player. I stuck up for
    [Mod Removed]
as he is my friend and I told the players not to tilt because of him and that it doesn't help if they keep name calling him especially if the streamer on my team has an audience. When I said that he said he would get all his viewers to
report me which I didn't tale seriously as I thought Xbox had a way to stop false reporting. Fast forward to the next day my reputation drops from good player to needs work and by the time i load up Overwatch I was in Avoid Me standing.

Now that you know my backstory I think it is understandable as to why I'm here posting this thread. Being falsely accused of unsporting behavior is about the worst that could happen with voice communication ban coming second. It is impossible to find a game
on any multiplayer game because it takes into account your Reputation Status. 40 minute wait times for a competitive match on Overwatch, 20 minute wait time for Call of Duty, and the list goes on. I would understand if I deserved it , being reported for lets
say cheating or quitting early in a match but I enjoy playing Overwatch on my free time, I love being at the top of leader boards. Now it feels like I'm wasting money on a membership that is suppose to connect me with other online gamers in any game title
    that supports multiplayer mode.

I feel like this is an important issue that should be addressed not just so I could escape the **** that is 'avoid me" but for other Xbox players who might not know exactly what they did to deserve a false "avoid me" status. It is safe to assume that we
can not underestimate how petty a player might be when they lose or when we stand up to their absurd remarks.

I hope to receive an actual response that is helpful other than , "just play different games and don't get reported" , because the problem runs deeper than that. That is a response for someone who actually deserves to be in the red zone. Thank you.

    :)

    Flawed reputation system "avoid me"

the reputation system in place on the xbox one is too flawed and punishes long standing "good players" in just a short time! As stated by program manager Micheal Dunn at this official xbox page
news.xbox.com/.../games-reputation-feature a player would have received SEVERAL notifications before getting avoid me reputation status. It also states that the system is set
to take into account all the multiplayer matches without "avoid me" incidents to take into account all the good hours you've played multiplayer. Well a) there was only one notification from dropping to yellow from green and no "several notifications" of
any kind that I was getting close to or need to avoid "avoid me" reputation status. Also b) this happened in a 2 week time from grievers on a very "sore losing" competitive multiplayer game of RISK. They didnt like when I would team up with other players
to take them out faster but initial alliances are always needed in world war...duh!

Anyways to say the least i've had good standing player reputation and played 1000's of multiplayer matches just fine on xbox live since the early 2000's and now this system in place punishes me in a 2 week period of time from my behavior in ONE Game and
can no longer play any multiplayer matches on bf4, gta online, cod aw zombies, not ANY of my other multiplayer games work. Enforcement team isnt any help because they dont even know how the system works, they state for players to play multiplayer matches
without incident and suggest to have other players give "good rep" not even knowing obviously how the system works! There currently isnt a way for other gamers to "good rep" you on xbox one nor do any gamers I know including myself ever go give feedback when
you had a good experience with someone!

This whole system in place is rubbish and im living proof why it doesnt work. Gamers give bad rep more than good rep naturally, there isnt even a way anymore for players to even give good rep, and it obviously doesnt take into account the countless hours
of good multiplayer gaming i've done over a decade's worth of time or even since Nov. 13 on this new system. Who is going to undo this wrong, chat support, "talk to enforcement", enforcement, "you'll have to play multiplayer matches without incident and have
players give good rep on you and will take quite some time". (even though you cant do either of these things and is just a spinoff). Forum mod's/ambassadors, "you should post your feedback ideas on uservoice". (been there done that, am I suppose to wait
months or years not playing multiplayer waiting for them to finally take notice of the build up's of complaints on flawed system?). Nobody at MS seems to take accountability or know how to treat a paying customer, selling me games and then taking away my
multiplayer for actions from one game in a short period of time without proper warnings in place that Micheal Dunn stated on your official website is suspect of a fraudulent system in place.

  3. Flawed reputation system "avoid me"

My friends and I are only 10. I use xbox live to play with my friends at school and only really play Terraria or Minecraft. I have been given a bad reputation for absolutely no reason and as a result now have 3 stars but i have never been any bother. I
used to always have 5 orange stars and was proud of this. I cannot play multiplayer because of this error and i was wondering how to be restored to "Good Player".

Contacting the enforcement team has got me no response.

Is there a flaw in the reputation system and i have been placed in the 'Avoid Me" zone in error?

Please can i be restored to 'Good Player" as this is upsetting me and affecting my ability to enjoy my experience of Xbox Live with my friends

    Many Thanks

Rep is nothing to do with support so no one on the forums can do anything.

You can find out about the reps system & how it works
    here

Only you can improve your rep,no one will reset it for you.

Playing free games like Star Trek Online,Neverwinter,World of Tanks etc. will help but it does take time.

Anyone who abuses the reporting system, like filing lots of false reports, risks being suspended themselves.

Let me start by saying thank you for taking the time to reply to my post. Respectfully I will have to say that I feel that reply is completely missing the point. Let me paint the picture for you in hopes that maybe as an Xbox ambassador you can link me to
someone who may have an idea how to approach this kind of issue.

Imagine you play a game title competitively and you are pretty good at it. Good enough to be within the top 500 of North America. (Something fairly achievable on console compared to PC) Your leaderboard standing shows next to your in conpetive rank. You
play a full match against a team of 6 composed of two groups of three. They communicate with each other throughout the game but still end up losing the match. Let's say they had a rough night, they are tilted. They don't take losing as one should but decide
to be petty. They decide to all submit a report against in you knowing very well that if a person gets x amount of reports with people who were in that match (assuming Xbox reports filed against you are only taking into consideration if the player filing recently
played with you), your reputation would take a significant hit. That's 6 reports against a player who is being falsely reported. How is one supposed to combat this. It's so flawed.

Majority of the players in top 500 have a reputation of "needs work" if not "avoid me" because players who don't know how to lose act out of pettiness. This is the case for GoW & Halo. For majority of all ranked games. It's hard for one to understand unless
they are familiar with the conpetive scene.

There are many other posts across overwatch's own website forums, Reddit, and even on here explaining this exact thing and nothing gets done about. Instead, innocent players who fall victim to this kind of behavior and flawed reputation are paying for a
membership where they can't connect to game tittles they spent money on. Instead they are forced to play games titles that are mediocre at best.

Hey GeoThatBeMe! As Daft said, we do not have access to Enforcement Team actions here on the forums. That being said, as stated in the link posted by Daft Badger, being a good player or having others rallied to report you will not result in a reputation
    loss alone. Thanks!
