  1. Flash drive videos showing up in Video Player but not in Storage

I have some .wmv files that I would like to move from a flash drive to my Xbox's hard drive. The videos are playable in Video Player, but when I view the contents of my flash drive in the Storage menu, under videos nothing is listed. How do I make it so
the videos on my flash drive are listened under Storage so I can transfer the content?

    :)

Xbox 360 not detecting usb flash memory

I have the 4gb slim xbox 360. I need at least 8gb of memory to play Halo 4 multiplayer. I formatted my flash drive to FAT32 using window 7 and inserted it in the console. The usb drive is not even showing up on the storage device list. I purchase a sandisk
usb flash drive. Any help or insight is appreciated.

Some file types are not supported on the Xbox itself. You could try using the file explorer app to see if you could manually move them, but if they are not showing up as files to copy and move, then the option will not be supported on that file type.

USB drive, external drive didn't work with Xbox one.

You can already use USB Flash drives and hard drives on Xbox One to view videos, music and pictures. To view these files you first need to download the Media Player Preview App from the Xbox One Marketplace. Connect your device and load the app.

To use an external hard drive for Xbox One storage, the device itself must be at least 256GB and USB 3.0. Which means the external storage for Xbox One data must be a hard drive, USB Flash drives are not supported for Xbox One storage.

computer FAT32 Flash Disk error ?

    Hi AlphaKitty14,

If you'd like to use your USB Flash Drive to put videos onto it to view them on the console then you do not format the flash drive at all on the console. You will need to plug the USB Flash Drive into your PC, make sure it's formatted for FAT 32 and then just
drag and drop the files into a folder. You then unplug the flash drive and go to the Xbox 360, if these files that you've put on the flash drive are playable they will appear when you go to the Dashboard > TV & Movies > My Video Apps > System Video Player
    > Select the Portable Device.

You only format/customize the USB Flash Drive on the console if you intend to use the USB Flash Drive for storing Xbox 360 games, downloadable content, and game saves, etc.

Is there a USB key with hundreds of GB? (or more)

You can use external storage on Xbox one, but it must be an external USB 3.0 hard drive. Flash drives are not supported as a storage device - they only work for video playback. The minimum size of HDD is 256GB, there is no upper limit. You can install
all future games to these hard drives.
