  1. Flash Drive problems

So, originally I had my 16 gb flash drive formatted so 2 gb of space were available to Xbox 360 content. I accidentally deleted the "Xbox" folder on the flash drive, so I decided it best to reformat my flash drive for PC, then for Xbox. I formatted it for
the required fat32 files on PC, then plugged it into my Xbox 360. Strangely enough, the Xbox claimed that all 16 gb were available to put content on, right after I completely formatted it for PC. I put my profile and a save game on it, and it worked to be
toted around between Xbox 360's, but if I plugged it into the computer, the Xbox folder wasn't there, and instead only a folder labeled "content". The files onboard my flash drive weren't compatible with anything on the pc, but they were on the 360. I would
like to know how to fix this and change the flash drive back to how it first was. Thanks

    :)

  2. What is the point of having extra USB ports, if you can only use 1 USB on the Xbox?

I use two flash drives with no problems.

could be a faulty flash drive.

USB flash drive continuously needs reformatting...

Now that you have started having problems with your USB flash drive, have you tried using it as a normal flash drive with your computer? It may be that the flash drive has failed, especially because you are having no problems with the smaller one.

    Flash Drive problems

There's nothing to fix. Instead of having file containers and limited file space, your files are just put in the content folder. There's no problem. It's a file format change that came with the last dashboard update. If you have any old file containers saved
on your PC, then you're out of luck.

You formatted the flash drive which made the whole drive useable on the Xbox. Xbox files cannot be read by the PC. Any attempt to do so will change the format of the Xbox files so they cannot be read by the Xbox.

  6. Once the format is changed, I suppose there is no way to fix the files? They are corrupted? I had to replace my xbox360 unit and transferred my files to a thumb drive prior to trading it in. I plugged the thumb drive into the pc just to make sure the
files are there and now I cannot access them through the Xbox. No hope?

USB Drive Configures but restarts itself at random times

You most likely have a faulty flash drive and not a problem with your console. Try to borrow a different brand of flash drive and see if that new one will work. I've had this problem before with a couple flash drives testing it on another xbox should show
you that it is a problem with the flash drive and not the xbox. I would recommend getting a flash drive made specifically for the Xbox 360 to lower the chances of these errors from occurring.

    problem with flash drive

Look the only way to fix it straight from your Xbox is to make it a 8gb device ... Go to storage on your Xbox 360...click y ( device options ) ... Remove Xbox 360 storage ... Then go to customize...take the bar down to 8gb...then hit A...after that clear
cache and rename it or whatever bam its ready to go...I know it sucks that you'll be missing half your space but better than nothing...might not work in all cases but most of time only half of space is corrupt ... If you're looking to get all your space you'll
have to do it through a laptop or buy a new one...hope this helped

    problem with flash drive

It may be an issue with the flash drive as there are so many different makes and models of them, it is difficult to properly support every single type. As for the power issues on the front USB ports, that is false.

    problem with flash drive

I agree with Sage, if it keeps asking to configure it's not compatible. Not all flash drives work with the Xbox 360. Try a different make. Sandisk is one of the best.
