What I love about the above game and trailer is that unlike other Kinect-based motion games, it's not necessarily all about dancing per se', but rather more like being some craze-induced conductor instead. Grab your batons folks! It's time to move the music!

no thanks. its easier and more responsive pushing a button than flailing my arms around. kinect is dead.

 

That game is bad and that trailer worse. People would not be clapping for you they would be laughing at you. I'm embarrassed for anyone over the age of 12 who would play that in public.

 

That's a matter of opinion, Bstn. I would love to play this kind of game with others at a party, regardless of age (and I have in fact done so using Fruit Ninja Kinect at a Christmas party) - it's all about having fun, man!

In any case, I'm surprised you're judging a game before it's even released. I think you're judging it more on the fact that it's a Kinect motion-based game and have decided to automatically write it off as a result - I think that's inherently a bad idea
that could cause you to miss out on what could potentially be a great game. I, personally, have found many motion-based games to actually be pretty darn good (the aforementioned Fruit Ninja Kinect, The Gunstringer, Dance Central, Xbox Fitness, Your Health
and Fitness Evolved, etc).

Also, despite the thread title, if you're flailing your arms around wildy (for any motion-based Kinect title), it means you're doing it wrong - nice, fluid, and subtle moves are the way to go. ;P

GG I'm judging it from the trailer that's all it's gameplay video. I'm not saying it has no value but the trailer showing adults playing it in a club setting with other adults cheering is laughable.

The game will bomb if this is their target audience they should show kids at a sleep over that seems more appropriate.

i saw this game up close, first hand at E3 this year. it's definitely a niche crowd that will enjoy it ... i saw no enjoyment in it.

 

I agree btsn. That was a horrific trailer. It was so bad it was actually shocking.

 

I'm guessing most people who play this will be musician types who understand the patterns of conducting and know what goes into performing with an orchestra or concert band. Fortunately for me I fit into this catagory and have a 2 yr old daughter as well.
I'll be picking this up for sure.

 

I don't know if I'll be picking it up, but I do fall into the same crowd that JPep does, having been in a band for over 8 years (I'm a seasoned sax player).
