    Fixing the Teredo Issue and Trouble Getting Halo MCC MP Games


    Hi all. Just finally bought the console. I was really impressed until I had trouble getting into Halo MCC multiplayer games. I could not even get party chat to work. For background reference, I have a BA in network administration. Network analysis tool showed
    open NAT. Furthermore, it showed a cone NAT. I am behind a common Motorola cable modem and Netgear WNDR3700 router. Even though network test said "It's all good" the multiplayer test said "Problem getting Teredo IP Address".

    The 10 pages of steps listed on Xbox support did not help me fix this Teredo issue. They suggest trying UPnP and Port Forwarding. Maybe even using a DMZ, but what they do not tell you is that IPv6 must be enabled for Teredo to work! After 2.5 hours of research
    and testing I found this out. Your router must be able to get a WAN IPv6 address so hope your ISP supports it. And then you should set the LAN IPv6 to dish DHCP addresses. Once I had a WAN, LAN IPv6 address, and did a hard reset on the Xbox One the Teredo
    problem was resolved. Then I could use party chat and get into Halo MCC multiplayer games without an issue. I wonder if this is the issue a lot of the people are having getting into games with the Halo MCC.

    Anyways, I hope that this helps some people resolve the issue and avoid hours of frustrating research.

    Do You Care About The HALO 5 BETA?

    Wouldn't say that theres anything wrong with MCC mp for the most part(little things need fixing). Its getting into mp thats the problem. That in itself doesn't make the mp bad.

    Halo mcc question

    ITs not a cloud issue its the Game. HALO MCC is broken. I only bought HALO MCC for the single player cause im not fan of the MP which is broken. 4 weeks and my GS still hasnt unlocked. I just hope what MS/343 is going to offer for dealing with this broken
    game is worth it.

    I would like to edit this to say IPv6 should be enabled to bypass use need of Teredo. Anyways, this will probably disappear to nowhere.

    TLDR: Enable IPv6 first instead of trying other suggestions for Teredo error.

    So what makes you think it will be "great"?

    The Halo 5 MP beta is included with this game and if they cant get MCC MP to work what makes you think they are going to fair any better with Halo 5 beta or the game itself???

    MCC is not fixed. Being more of a fan of BTB, it's agonizing to try and get in a game. Yes, I dumped everything and reloaded it. I bought an X1 just for MCC MP and I've lost interest at this point. Even had my box up for sale. Halo 5 beta has impressed me
    enough I'm keeping it around now.
