    UPDATE: It works now... Don't know why, I just plugged in my external storage, and it worked... Though, that probably won't work for others.

    Okay, so I've tried everything short of messing with the router settings, factory resetting the Xbox, and reinstalling Windows 10. I have:

    • Renamed the console;
    • set a manual IP;
    • soft AND hard reset both the console and PC;
    • cleared the MAC cache on the console;
    • uninstalled and reinstalled the normal AND beta versions of Console Companion, as well as reset them in the app settings;
    • I have ensured the time and date on both the PC and console is accurate; and
    • even more that I can't remember.
    Curious as to whether it was a problem with the PC app I downloaded the app to my phone; lo and behold, it connects perfectly fine. On PC, however, it will list the Xbox to be connected, but will not connect, giving the error message:
    "We are not able to connect to your console. Make sure the console is still on and connected to the same network as this device." Which it is. When trying to connect via IP (which is correct) regardless of whether it's automatic or manual IP,
    I get the error message: "We are not able to find an Xbox One console with the IP address provided."

    I ran ipconfig in PowerShell to check if the IP range, Subnet Mask, and Gateway is right, and both the console and PC have:

    IP: 192.168.0.xxx

    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0

    Gateway: 192.168.0.1

    DNS: 192.168.0.1

    At this point I have no idea if there's anything I can do, but if there is I'd love to know. I seriously don't have the confidence to mess with the router settings, and my roommate uses the internet a lot too, so I don't want to inconvenience him. As for
    factory resetting and reinstalling Win10, I really really don't want to do that...

    Sorry for the long winded question, but if there's anything you can think of to try, I'd like to know, but it seems to be a Win10 App problem. Or will it even work at all?

    Hey there,

    What kind of device are you using for the Xbox app (Windows 10, iOS, Android, Windows Phone)? Is your Xbox One showing up in the Xbox app to connect to, or is your Xbox One console not showing up within the Xbox app at all? We'll need that information so
    we can provide specific steps.

    If you're on Windows 10 PC, have you tried a wired connection for both your Windows 10 PC and your Xbox One console? That is the most reliable method for connecting the Xbox app to your Xbox One console, and the results of that will help us narrow the issue
    down further.

    Post back with that information so we can narrow the issue down! :)

    Xbox 360 SmartGlass not working

    I am having the same problem. SmartGlass for Xbox 360 says it cannot find my console.

    My Xbox 360 console is connected via Wifi. I have tried connecting with the Xbox 360 SmartGlass app via Windows 10 (2 different PCs - one Wifi, one wired), Android phone, Windows Mobile 10 and iPad.

    I have tried restarting all of my networking equipment and devices multiple times.

    The error I receive is 0xc00d11cd (0xc101000c) on the Windows 10 PCs.

    The Windows Mobile 10 phone says Status code: 1012

    I have tried all the suggested steps - making sure console is on, making sure I'm using the same Microsoft account, and I have the Connected Devices setting enabled on the console.

    Xbox     App Server Connectivity on Windows 10 is blocked. If you're attempting to use the Xbox App's ability
    to connect to a console, be sure to allow connectivity on the Xbox One. To ensure your console's configured to connect to the Xbox app visit
    Settings>Preferences>Xbox App connectivity there you may select whether the console can be connected to any device, devices with profiles signed in on the Xbox, and blocking connections overall.
