Fix Your UI and Audio Codex!!!!!

What ever you guys did in the previous update has messed up the entire audio codex and UI. Invites aren't being sent, messages aren't being sent, people are dropping out of parties without even knowing, peoples mics are picking up stuff they didn't pick
up before the update such as background noise or there's excessive echoing. There's a friends list problem that I talked about here:

Sound issue - game sound only

I'm having this issue every day. Only fix is a hard restart. System UI sounds work fine. Getting real annoying to randomly start a game to no audio.

 

Xbox One can't chat with Xbox 360.

Tier II, and as for your information, the fact is that the codex excuse is a poor one. Microsoft can write the codex to be backwards compatible with ease, the fact they don't is a ploy to force people to buy an Xbox One.

The amount of data sending and receiving doesn't solely depend on the codex, it also depends on dedicated bandwidth.

I have a Gigabit intranet, with a 100 Megabit internet connection, this alone with an XBox One connected to the internet though said Gigabit intranet to the only bottleneck which is the internet connection, which is significant enough to do video and audio
chat, which as a standard only need a 1.2 Megabit internet connection with some of the crappiest codexes out there. Which unless you are on DSL, you don't need to worry about.

I've been audio chatting and video chatting and video streaming before DSL was out for the general public, I've worked with various codexes and dealt with bandwidth and network issues all my life, I know enough to understand that the only excuse that a codex
doesn't work on an Xbox 360 in this case and works on a One isn't that the One is more impressive hardware wise, it is because there is a software block keeping it from happening.

There is enough power, memory, and functionality in the Xbox One to allow multiple codexes to be used at the same time without worrying about lagging anything. The fact that Microsoft did this, shows short sightedness, for not every Xbox 360 member is going
out to buy an Xbox One, nor should they.

If Microsoft wants to keep their end users happy, they are going to be forced to do this because the letters, and nasty phone calls, I can guarantee have already started coming in.

 

Works fine for me.

Maybe your console needs repair.

 

I doubt it's working fine for you, it's happening to everyone I talk to, plus my friend is a streamer on Twitch and he has to deal with it everyday since he helps people with Destiny Raids.

Last time I checked this was a forum to report issues concerning XBL's performance, and that's exactly what I'm doing. You and the other guy might not be having problems, but that's only 2 people out of millions of people that use XBL.

I know for a fact that these issues exist b/c I've witnessed them on my friend's stream, and first hand when I've been playing with a group of friends. Again, just because you and the other guy haven't experienced any issues, doesn't mean the issues don't
exist. If you don't have anything to contribute that will prove useful to the topic, simply don't post anything.

 

Actually this is a discussion forum. If you're looking for support's input, you'll want to post in the support side of the forums.

Realistically, it's not happening to millions of users. It is happening, but it's not as widespread as that.

As for your millions of users suffering like you, I've only seen you in this thread with a problem. To use your logic, that's 1 out of millions. Go see if you can find some others with your issue in the support forums.

I was told in a chat with Xbox Support to post here, and there's no Spring 2017 Update option in the topic box. So how the heck am I supposed to know? Come to think of it, the topic drop down box over on the support side of the forums is cluttered with a
whole bunch of random **** that probably shouldn't be there. I never said that it was happening to millions of users, I said that there's millions of other XBL users that could be experiencing the issues, and that 2 people not experiencing the issues isn't
even a fraction of the entire user base. Come to think of it, how would you know how many people are experiencing the issue b/c everyone probably wants to report the issues but can't b/c the forums have become a freaking mess ever since they changed the layout
of the whole site.

 

Sorry, I did read your post wrong about the million users, but if it were a more widespread issue, there would be a service alert up and a **** of a lot more threads about it (check the forums when Live goes down and you'll know what we mean). I've seen
a couple of threads about it, but not a lot.

 

Regardless it's an annoying one homie, lol. Other than that, the XBL service is as fast and smooth as it's ever been.

 

A lot of people are complaining about what the April 2017 Update did to Xbox 1's UI.

Xbox 360's current UI is superior and less uglier. It's MUCH MUCH MUCH more user friendly. It has avatars. And there's none of this littered with hundreds of Windows 10 boxes all over the UI it's like a maze of boxes. And I've had Xbox 1 since it launched!
So I know what it's like! I feel your pain. Even when Xbox 1 launched, a lot of 10-15 year olds didn't like the Windows 8 like UI Xbox 1 use to have. They should put Xbox 360 software engineers on the Xbox 1 UI design team.

 

That sucks you're having troubles. Luckily I haven't been affected by it.
