FIX XBOX LIVE

Xbox live is up & running perfectly fine so the issue is at your end.

PSN is down a lot more than xbox live so not sure where you got that from.

First of all:
There is currently a Xbox Live Service issue going on, that causes trouble when managing and buying Gold memberships.

Unfortunately, you already created a double account. For Xbox.com the account you created on the website is a new and completely separate account from the one you have on your console.

There are several ways to resolve it, but the optimal solution depends on what you have achieved on your console already and what you want to keep, as it is NOT possible to combine the two accounts!

Solution 1:

You will keep: Your console Gamertag and game progress.
You will get: A free trial month of Xbox Live Gold! You will lose: the connection to the email you used, the Gold time you bought.

Simply go to http://www.outlook.com and create a new e-Mail address.

On your console, sign in with your Gamertag, and use the "Join Xbox Live" option. Then use the newly made e-Mail address on your Gamertag.

When asked for the Live Gold subscription, choose to go for the free membership, and the console will offer you a free month as a trial membership. BEWARE! This trial membership automatically changes into a monthly subscription that you have to ACTIVELY CANCEL!
Otherwise you will pay monthly, which is more costly than an annual subscription or a prepaid card.

Solution 2:

You will keep: Your E-Mail, the new Gamertag, the Gold Membership purchased (after the service issue is resolved).
You will lose: Your Gaming Progress on the old account.
You will NOT get a free Xbox Live Gold trial!

On the console sign out of your Gamertag by pressing the silver Guide button in the middle of the controller, then press X. In the Guide menu you should now see the option to "Download Gamertag". Use that.

Now enter the e-Mail address and Password you used when you created this account on Xbox.com and bought the Gold membership on.

Let the console download the Profile (keep in mind, due to the service issue, this might currently not be possible until the issues are resolved!)

You now have the new Profile with your e-Mail and you need to start over playing your games, as game progress can't be moved to the new account.

Solution 3:

You will keep: Your old Gamertag, with proper Game progress, connected to your desired e-Mail.
You will get: The one month free Gold trial. You will lose: The paid Gold membership, or Game progress during the transit of this change.
This requires a 30 day wait! In that time it depends what you want to use/keep (Game progress or Gold membership)

First, go to http://www.outlook.com and create a new "throwaway" email like "*** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***" or something like that. Then download your newly created Gamertag as in Solution 2. After the new Gamertag
is on your console, follow the instructions on this page, to switch the email connected to that Gamertag to the newly created throwaway address.

Now you will have to wait 30 days. During this time you can either play online with your Gold membership on the new account, but will NOT have your previous game progress. Additionally, you will lose the game progress you achieve here after you switch back
to your old Gamertag again. Or you can play with your old Gamertag, but will not have access to the Gold online features during these 30 days.

After the 30 days are over, you sign in with your old Gamertag, and as in Solution 1 use the Join Xbox Live function.

Again follow the on-screen instructions and use your desired email to join Live. Then as in Solution 1 opt for the silver membership and get the one month gold trial subscription. Remember to cancel the subscription early enough, if you don't want the costly
monthly subscription!

Discard of the newly created Gamertag with the throwaway address. Remember to cancel any Gold subscription you subscribed to on that gamertag before abandoning it!

When I called Xbox live they had me do that the songs are corrupted Xbox live/rock band needs to fix Xbox live told me to post here so it will get fixed

See who posted that, please, before answering again. I did. Xbox LIVE has the download content. Xbox LIVE controls the Dashboard. Xbox LIVE needs to fix the problem. Turn 10 has contacted their sources, but Turn 10 cannot fix the problem. Xbox LIVE
needs to do so.
