    This has been a problem for months. One day the mic just doesn't work. I have 2 mics and 3 controllers 1 Controller and mic are BRAND NEW. I have tried everything with support over the phone. Nothing works. Even so much as resetting the console to default. They
    claimed it was an issued to be fixed later ? Well When ? I am sick of the Copy & Paste solutions. It has been posted on these forums for some time now.

    Xbox One PDP Prismatic Afterglow USB controller has buzzing sound transmitting over mic

    to fix the problem with all wired controllers, simply unplug the mic and controller, then plug the MIC in first, then plug the controller back in. Worked for me. Hopefully it works for you.

    FIX THE MIC PROBLEM

    I connect to a lobby and I can't hear anyone and nobody can hear me. I unplug my mic and i can hear them through the speaker now. I have to hard reset my piece of *** Xbox since that's the only way to fix it. This happens ALL the time along with a bunch
    of other issues. I have to hard reset my Xbox twice a day because im always getting screens that freeze, controllers that randomly disconnect, or my mic stops working when I join a party. It's becoming so irritating

    I think this is a hardware issue rather than a connection issue. If it was your connection the party would read "Disconnected" I would personally try to barrow another controller and another mic from a friend and try them vice versa with your controller
    and mic (mic 1 with controller 2, controller 1 with mic 2, and controller 2 with mic 2).

    not much of a fix but I had similar problem all the time when I get disconnected and reconnected to party chat usually turning off controller n turning on again can fix it, but could be a different problem try using different hardware mic n controller and
    see if that helps.

    There's people all over the forums who's mics will not work. The headsets have audio and controllers have all been updated. Like Lukestylz listed above, weve tried all the support fixes down to even FACTORY FREAKING RESET!
