Fix the crappy wifi connection

I don't know exactly what you've tried, but I will ask you this:

What kind of wireless network are you connecting to? 2.4GHz, or 5.0GHz? The former can be subject to interference if you have wireless gaming headsets, bluetooth devices, other wifi access points congesting the same wireless channel, or
other electronic appliances in the house. The latter can have reduced range, especially if there's a lot of objects or walls between the Xbox and the router.

Is a wired connection possible? Wiring your connection with an ethernet cord provides the best, lowest latency connection to your home network.

When you are able to connect how many bars does your console show the WiFi strength at also if you have not already done so try moving the console or router a couple of inches as this can make a big difference when connecting the console to the network.

I am a certified tech. The problem is the wifi antenna is not strong enough my cell phone has a better wifi receiver a really crappy way to cut cost

You might as well jailbreak an iPhone, purchase the wifi off cydia and use that instead of that crappy ISP

Okay so what happen is when i connect to the school WIFI it says it cant connect. the suggested fixes are restarting the router, which i can't do since it's a campus shared router. the other fix was manually entering the WIFI info which was done but still
not working. The IT said that it was my xbox saying it was too old to connect to any WIFI systems and that there was nothing i could do except may talk to someone about fixing the xbox it's self. the thing that confuses me is that if it is my xbox as they
say wouldn't that mean i could connect to any WIFI. I connected it to the WIFI at my friends house, my house and even the WIFI at the hotel when my family came to visit.
