    Fix: Hiding notifications while watching video


    Hi Insiders!

    With the most recent Insider builds (rs_xbox_release_2004.200307-0000 and kater) we're trying out a new approach to enforcing the "hide banners while watching video" setting for notifications. We know this hasn't been very reliable in the past, and we're hoping that this solution works better for almost every app*.

    This is a friendly call to please file new bugs if you've got this setting turned on for a category and:

    1. You still see notification banners while a video is playing (not paused), or
    2. You don't see notification banners while playing music in a music app.

    Thanks!

    *this still may not work for some versions of the Amazon Prime Video app. We're aware of the issue.

    One thing for me and probs for most people is while watching tv, is notifications popping up

    As with the xbox 360this can be turned off while watching a DVD or video

    Will this feature be implemented in future for the xbox one?

    Family Suggestion (FAMILY LIST)

    There are already options available that block notifications from popping up on the screen while playing games or watching videos. They are located on the preference tab on the Xbox guide menu.

    Currently you can't turn off notifications while watching video/TV but I'll take that suggestion back to the team. I was thinking the same thing last night. :)
