Fix for those that having disconnection issues

    Hello guys,

I have found two fixes that will 100% fix the disconnection issues that some people are facing (Mostly people with the Virgin Media Superhub 2), one of these fixes is a security issue and must not be done unless you know how to hide you Network (even still,
it ain't impossible to find), read on for both fixes.

Fix One (Secure): The best and most secure way to fix the issue is plugging an Ethernet cable into your Superhub 2, this will bypass the decryption process that is required via wireless, not everyone is able to do this due to being too far away from the
Superhub 2, to fix this with an Ethernet cable without having to trail cables around your home, you will need to buy a "Powerline Adapter", these are expensive and are mostly useless, to get a true performance from them you need a 500 (A TP Link 500MBPS Twin
AC Pass Through will do the trick), however this may not work due to interference and electrical wiring restrictions.

    Fix Two (Insecure):

Step 1: Login to your Superhub 2 Click ----------->
    http://192.168.0.1
    Default password is changeme

Step 2: In your Superhub 2 settings go to "Advanced Settings" and click "2.4Ghz Primary Wireless Network"

Step 3: Once in, click the box that says "SSID" and change the name to something you'll remember and isn't easily guessed.

Step 4: Un-tick "Enable SSID Broadcast", this will hide your network.

Step 5: Under "Security Mode" click "Disabled", This will disable the password and make your Network insecure.

Step 6: Click "Apply", this has saved the settings for you to use on your Xbox One.

Step 7: Turn on your Xbox and go to Settings>Network and then "Set up Wireless Network".

Step 8: Click "Add Wireless Network" and input the SSID that you entered in
    step 3

Step 9: Click "None", this is because your network isn't secure.

Step 10: Enjoy Call of Duty: Ghosts

I have done each of these steps and have verified that it works, I have not tried the Ethernet cable because there is no point, with an Ethernet cable you are bypassing all security and decryption.

The source of this problem is the Xbox is unable to decrypt fast enough and is timing out, thus cause you to get disconnected from Xbox Live, WPA2 is the issue and someone suggested that I should lower the security, WPA and WEP is not available (Greyed out).

PS: I haven't tried WEP or WPA because my Superhub 2 will not allow me to use it, once I have figured that out I will edit the post and update you on whether or not it is also a fix.

    :)

  2. Error Status Report

My guess is that, because you're on a DLS connection, you're experiencing issues at peak hours. When the disconnections occur, please run a speedtest ASAP, and then post those results (if you're still having issues).

I get disconnected from online games after a few minutes when playing Gears of War 3

That status message just means you're connected to LIVE. Fix for those that having disconnection issues :) If you're still having the issue, have you tried resetting your modem and router? Start with that, as that typically fixes most random disconnection issues. Fix for those that having disconnection issues :)

UPDATE: I have been in contact with Virgin Media and they state that this is an Xbox One issue, also when I asked about WEP they stated that the feature can only be used on the "56MB" option, so I have not tried this as of yet, currently
I have set my router to "144MB" and doesn't seem to effect much from what I can see, I will be contacting Microsoft about this issue and I will post an update as soon as possible.

UPDATE 2: Been in contact with Microsoft and they said that they will be looking in to the issue, hopefully after over 7 month of attempting to find a fix for this issue and being in contact with Microsoft, Virgin Media and Activision that
this issue will be resolved, if I receive an e-mail back from Microsoft about this issue I will update this page, however this is the only fix that I have found over the 7 month of attempting to get this £55/$60 game to work, hopefully this has fixed it for
more of you guys and if so please let me know, feedback would be great.
