First Wave of Xbox One April System Updates Now in Preview

This month, we’re rolling out updates to our Xbox One Preview program members in two
waves, with the first set coming today and more to come next week. Check out the list below for features in this first April system update preview that is starting to roll out this afternoon:

• Party chat improvements – Party chat is being improved with troubleshooting guidance for Xbox One owners. The Party App will help you get your microphone enabled and show you when privacy settings or networking issues
  are blocking communication with particular party members.

• Game hub links – Members can more easily discover game hub content from activity feed items. You’ll see activity feed items when any of your friends follow a game, and you’ll also be able to get back to a game’s hub
  from activity feed posts related to the game – including feed items about the game’s achievements, game clips and screenshots. Finally, we’ve added a link to game hubs from the game’s page in the achievements app.
  

• Achievement notifications – With this preview release, you’ll also see the achievement’s description in the notification so you know what you did to earn this achievement without having to open the achievements app.
  If you do choose to open up the notification to see the achievement details, we’ve also made some performance improvements to make loading the achievements app from a notification faster.

Just updating now will it be same as last month I can only chat with peole in preview programme do to chat updates

 

I like that they are including what you did to get the achievement in the notification and making it faster is a plus.

 

Hoping for custom music and they fix the instant on mode bug

 

The UI is much faster since I downloaded the update.

 

Had it since last night - it's a very small update in terms of content...

 

Think custom music is more likely after one drive and xbox music update

 

@n7 instant on is annoying the hell out of me not been able to use for a month now

 

The last update removed my tenure and technical support still isn't sure how or why only that it did. Hopefully it will come back with this update.

 

Honestly, updates have been solid. This system is really getting to be nice. Not that it was not before or that all these features are things I care about but still. I am not an achievement crazy player but it is great what they added here to the notification.
When I get them I like to know more. And the Game hub links will most definitely be something I uses.

It's only been 16 months since the Xbox One was released. Give it some time. lol

 

Cant wait to get voice messages off people again with screaming kids or barking dogs in back ground

 

16 months, that's at least 484 days and over 11,616 hours, 696,960+ minutes, 41,817,600+ seconds, 2,509,056,000+ split seconds. Just kidding. I've had no issues with Party Chat I can start them fine and it registers my voice input through Kinect. I've also
been in a party with a friend from Xbox 360 and we could hear each other crystal clear. I like the first and third points. This illustrates UI performance is not based off your ISP but also the software itself. What some call screaming kids or barking dogs
is what I call art and music. So much more interesting than reading text books ;D
