First time in YEARS and I received a communication ban, why?

So I beat someone at Fifa, and get a messaged saying how I was etc, I normally ignore stuff like this, but for some reason I replied, nothing bad but abit of banter back along the lines of "ya lost ya daft mug" to which he replied with a 6 word rant containing
2 swear words, to which I replied it wasn't worth losing your account over to call me a
[Mod Removed], he replied "[Mod Removed]" etc so I thought, no I am going to report you for being a complete idiot.

Anyway turns out I now have a week ban, does calling some a "mug" come under insulting, after he messaged me first? and if it does im really not sure I want an xbox anymore, the world has gone soft.

I got a communication ban, while I was already banned from communications.

I apparently have received a communication ban on my account, while I was currently doing time for another communication ban. How could I have received another communication ban while I was currently communication banned?

 

Xbox Ambassadors

Recently I received a communications ban, not really sure why I received the ban because the only people I talk to are people I know in real life and out of the 9+ years I’ve had Xbox live I’ve never received a ban. So I’m wondering why one I recieved the
ban and two why I got removed from the Ambassadors Program for a ban that I have no clue why I recieved in the first place.

 

You should have received an email to the address attached to your account saying why you were suspended. You can ask for a case review by following the instructions to be found here
enforcement.xbox.com/.../HowTo.

 

The message you replied with would be the reason you were suspended,not the first one you sent.

 

i missed the main word out in the first sentence, he messaged me saying how *** I was etc lol to which I replied haha you lost you mug.

 

As long as you reported the message(s) sent to you in the first place then rest assured that person will have a communication suspension as well,possibly a perma ban if it's something they do on a regular basis.

Best thing to do if it happens again is just ignore it,don't reply,report & then block the sender.
