First Purchase - No points awarded

Hello there! I made my first purchase in the Xbox store a few days ago.

You were supposed to get 1,250 Points when you make your first purchase, right? I didn't get anything...

I'd like to buy a new game now and I'm afraid I still need a couple bucks, as I don't have much credit remaining on my credit card.

Help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

here. You'd need to make a post in their forum area and they should be able to look into these inquiries for you.

Please Note: The rewards team works Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM Pacific Standard Time. They also answer posts in the order they were received (older to newer).

 

No Microsoft Points awarded for Netflix and first purchase

Perusing the xbox website, I see that I can earn 100 MP for enabling my netflix. I did this, and never received the 100 points. I also made my first purchase on xbox live after becoming a rewards member, which I also should have received 100 points for.
Neither of these things happened, and my chromebook doesnt support silverlight so I cant chat with anyone. Microsoft seems so far awaaaaaay I hope they hear me on this forum! I know that MP's are about to go extinct, but I could still use those 200 mps
to get some game add ons. Can any ambassador or someone help?

 

To qualify it has to be your first purchase ever on Live, not just the first since joining Rewards.

I also have a feeling you need to be Gold for the Rewards programme to work, but this profile seems to be Silver.

This is the one monitored by the Rewards Programme team, they'll be able to answer your questions and, if need be, look into your account to see what's happened and what can be done to correct that.

 

What you are referring to is a part of the Xbox Live Rewards program. Those are rewards credits not MS points.

What are Rewards Credits and how can I use them?

A. Rewards Credits are a way of keeping track of the cash you earn through Xbox Live Rewards. Once you accumulate 5,000 Credits or more, we will automatically convert them into to your country's local currency and deposit your cash into your Microsoft account.
Then, you can head over to the Xbox stores to purchase your favorite games, Movies, Avatar props and much more!

What is the monetary value of Rewards Credits?

A. 5,000 Rewards Credits are equal to $5 USD.

Credits are added within 2 days to your Rewards account. They are not added to your gamertag account until they reach at least 5,000 credits and you request them. At that point they will be added by the 15th or 30th of the month.

It's been 2 days and they have not been added to my rewards account. Could it be because a request is already in pending?

 

Just to add, you first purchase has to be made using currency in your account, not a credit card/Paypal. If you used either of those methods, the purchase would not have qualified for the offer.

If you still think you qualify, you would need to post in the Rewards forums so support can check your account.

I used my credit card, yes, but I also used the currency I had left.

 

No, you don't have to be gold to use that offer. Maxen though you did.

I'm not sure if it counts if you do a split payment or not. You should post in the Rewards forum though so Rewards support can check on it for you.
