First and Last Xbox we will ever own!

This thing has been nothing but trouble since we bought it. I've owned PlayStation's and Nintendos and they have always been simple. Take the disk put it in the player and about a minute later you are playing a game. This is not so with Xbox One. We have
gone through hours of painstakingly trying to figure out what the problem is to no avail. This Xbox One has a mind of its own and very rarely lets you play a game. If you can get a game to play don't you dare stop it or you won't be able to play again until the
console decides it wants to work. Next month we are buying a PS4 and then I may post a video of OUR Xbox meeting the business end of my Rifle. It is either that or it will be a large paper weight. To anyone who might read this It is our opinion that you do
not buy an Xbox One.

We finished Insane Beast mode in 45min last night. It was my first time ever playing it so I didn't know wtf to do.

 

First and last (game).

Both of mine work great.

 

I also have a PS4 Pro. Sure it starts up much faster than my Xbox 1 500GB console (20 seconds vs 2 minutes), but I prefer the richness of the Xbox 1 UI. The PS4 UI looks a bit basic but is swift. You can not escape Updates. Game updates and system updates
which Microsoft regularly does. Xbox has Kinect and to me a better party chat, Kinect, Halo, Zoo Tycoon, Screamride, Forza, Skype, Microsoft acquired Minecraft so Xbox may get DLC earlier than the competition. Did you get it brand new? How good is your ISP
and upload/download speeds? Original Xbox 1's have a Philips disc drive which is cheap to keep manufacturing costs down. Due to the choice of disc drive, the original Xbox 1 console can't be placed upright, only flat is the recommended. The slim version can
be placed upright though.

 

Smileskybird I'd say something is wrong if your console takes 2 minutes to load up.

 

My day one works great. Of course, maybe the OP could explain in detail the specific issues?

Yeah,2 minutes to start up definitely isn't right.

Both mine are in "energy saving mode" & they start up in about 20 seconds,if that.

 

I have 3 of them an none of them act that way, have you actually tried getting a hold of Microsoft and seeing what they can do? Mine starts quick ( 30 seconds maybe) as I keep it on instant on, game start almost instantly regardless of disc or digital version...
I really think you just have one that isn't quite right...

 

Why on earth does it take so long for your Xbox to boot???? Mine takes maybe 30 seconds...

 

Because he hasn't set his console into the "low power mode". In "low power mode" it takes about 20 seconds to boot up, if it isn't in that mode it takes about 1 - 2 minutes.

I get the feeling the person who posted that already knows this, but just wanted to join in on the "Bash Xbox" comment.

 

Like I said,both my xbox one's are in "low power mode" & they don't take 2 minutes to boot up,about 20 seconds tops.

Something else going on if any xbox one takes 2 minutes to boot up.

 

sounds like someone had terrible internet connections.

 

definitely something wrong. i can be logged in on live in seconds.

How about posting a vid of this renegade Ai xbox so we can try to help.
