Firmware update process glitched during reboot ??

Has something changed in the firmware update process lately? I noticed that my console's power button would turn on from the off state on its own. It would flash 3 times quick and then stay on. I figured it was an update as my Series X is in Instant-On mode, so I wouldn't think nothing of it. Firmware updates normally don't take long, so I would continue on doing my daily activities.

When I felt it was time to get on the Xbox (perhaps an hour later), the power light was still on. That tells me something is not right. I checked my TV (changing HDMI source to the Xbox) and there was no output. I pressed the power button on the Series X and it makes the power on sound. I wait and still nothing on my screen. I pressed the button again and it makes the power off sound. Again nothing on screen.

Ok, this time, I hold the power button to force it off. It does. I turn it back on and now it shows up on the screen. It was doing the firmware update and was at around ~70% complete in the final stage. Then it completes. I shouldn't have to manually interrupt this, so there is something wrong with this process.

I'm thinking the firmware update process gets stuck on its auto-reboot part. This never happened in the past but the 2 latest Alpha builds. Both times, it was at the 70% mark of completion.

I was gonna report via console but when I held the button on my controller to bring up "Report a problem", I got a message stating this is old and to download the "new" one from the store. So basically use an app instead of this quicker sub menu. Funnily enough, I already have the latest app installed, however my question would be why would a major menu not be updated to reflect this already? It's quicker to launch via holding down the controller power button, seems like a big miss from the team to not update "Report a problem" from this sub-menu.
