Firmware update: Lost audio over bluetooth with xbox one bluetooth controller and win10

You can not roll back controller firmware updates.

This is ridiculous. This is the first time when an update is equal to a downgrade. If I had known that the update would have removed some features, I'd never update. The only message I get from the xbox app was: "Update required". No changelog, no warning
mesagges about removals, nothing.

I have the same problem. I think it was caused by a controller update (version from 17.11.2021). I enjoyed the new fast switching feature between Xbox and Bluetooth devices (double click pairing button).

Switching controller between Xbox/Bluetooth devices - OK

Xbox connection - OK

Android mobile connection (bluetooth) - OK

PC Win10 USB connection - OK

PC Win10 Bluetooth connection - does not work. the pairing will be fine but controller does not work.

Xbox One S, 2pcs XboxOne controller, Windows 10 completely updated.

resolved issue - update Windows 10 21H2.

the controller supports bluetooth connection to pc and mobile devices but does not support audio over bluetooth in any way shape or form (does support audio passthrough when wired to pc)

the headset should work though when the controller is wirelessly connected to the xbox one.

have you resynced the controller to the xbox one.

Update: Discovered another flaw was it not picking up trigger inputs as well when connected over bluetooth.

After looking up this additional detail to find similar issues; there's even more people who faced it and got nothing.

The strong assumption is that a firmware update made to the controller has effectively blacklisted it from recognizing third-party bluetooth adapters.

It's either that or something that's bugged the xinput or whatever else when interacting over bluetooth on W10 PCs caused by firmware updates.
