    Firmware Issue


    After the latest firmware update, all networking (wired and wireless) has issues.

    constant error codes (different ones)

    one minute the internet connection is there, then one minute its gone.

    setting up user accounts is impossible

    please help

    do i have a bad unit?

    Consoles freezes when starting games.

    It might be a firmware issue, try a dump, an updat and a hard reboot... should be right as rain afterwards...

    This gateway (Actiontec GT784WNV) has "known issues" check the firmware....

    Known Issues

    *There is a known issue with certain versions of the firmware that this gateway ships with, that causes it to consistently disconnect. The version of the firmware that is shipped is NCS01-1.0.3. If you call your ISP, you should be able to have them upgrade

    Based on your issue description, most likely it's an issue of your controller battery. I don't think it's a firmware issue since you've successfully updated its firmware already.

    Can connect, but only after manually reseting my router every time!

    Is there an update for your modem/router firmware maybe? Quite often using the latest firmware solves a lot of issues.

    Well the first thing I'd try is stock firmware. You might not want to use it but it might tell you if that is the issue (firmware related)
