firewall ports for skype

in a firewalled environment with restrictions on incoming and outgoing ports, it is possible to use Skype by setting the listening ports (443, etc.)



there is not setting for listening ports on Xbox One.



in this locked down environment it is not possible to place Xbox One on DMZ, or to allow X1 to have unlimited opening of ports over 1024.



how can port access be managed on Xbox One for Skype?

Then you have a port blockage in your modem or in your ISP's firewalls. Please ask your ISP, who maintains your modem as well as those firewalls, to open up port 88 for UDP and port 3074 for UDP and TCP.

Your apartment's network firewall may be blocking port 88 (for UDP) and/or port 3074 (for UDP and TCP), either of which would keep you from connecting to Xbox LIVE. PCs and Macs don't use port 3074, so this problem would appear
only for Xbox 360 users. Please ask your apartment network support folks to make sure those ports are open in their firewall.

 

hi i had a problem with skype on my xbox but seem to have fixed it. go to your router page which if you dont know how just type in your gateway IP. go to port forwarding and type in 1863 in both start port and end port along with TCP and UDP option. and
use your xbox IP in the IP adress
