FireTV cannot access

Discus and support FireTV cannot access in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; Since the software update I can no longer get access to my FireTV.     FireTV cannot access


    Since the software update I can no longer get access to my FireTV. The FTV is connected to the HDMI input of the Xbox one. When I go to Settings> All settings> TV & OneGuide> Audio & video> select HDMI which is not connected it will connect and display a
    small TV with the FTV displayed. I can control the FTV from that mini TV. I don't know how to display the FTV on the entire TV screen. Prior to the Windows 10 update I had a TV icon on the home page I could select to watch the FTV. How do I select the HDMI
    input as before?

    Xbox One's Wifi Direct security implementation?

    I just discovered that Amazon added Wifi Direct to the FireTV-it didn't have it originally-and that apparently wifi direct devices are always broadcasting a wifi network. Wifi direct uses WPS, which is completely insecure, and the FireTV just sits in a
    pairing mode all the time-a gigantic security risk.

    I realized that my Xbox One uses Wifi Direct also, BUT is has a pairing button on both the console and the controller.

    I'm HOPING that since it has an explicit pairing (or "syncing") button, that that means that normally the wifi network it's creating is impenetrable. Like it must also be broadcasting a network, but unless you're actually using those buttons, that it is
    NOT using WPS...I hope.

    Does anyone know for sure? I'm going to have to give up my FireTV because of this, but I sure as heck don't want to give up my Xbox! :-D

    Xbox One X not outputting video in 4K

    I have tried it on different ports of the same TV and have tried it on an Insignia FireTV. Same results.

    Unfortunately all the 4K tvs in the house are FireTVs so i cant eliminate if it has something to do with that, firmware wise

    What I mean by it tries to head into Xbox, is it sends me to the HDMI that the Xbox is plugged into... when I hold the microphone button on the Firestick to start a voice command. ....
    The FireTV Stick does
    CEC via HDMI    . So whenever the FireTV Stick gets activated, it'll try to control the TV and tell it to switch to that HDMI port it's currently connected to. That way, you can also control the FireTV Stick with your TV's remote instead of the FireTV remote
    control.

    So if the stick is still connected to some HDMI port along with the Xbox, activating the FireTV stick will cause the TV to switch to that input.

    But since you say, you do NOT have the stick on the Xbox anymore, it'd be interesting to know what you have on your TV connected how.

    No audio through external speakers

    Thank you for the reply. I've checked and there is no update for the FireTV or has any sound settings have changed. The speakers work fine while using streaming apps, just not when trying to play the Xbox.

    That is correct. The cable is part of the FireTv and not removable. I tired plugging in the project directly to the Xbox and it made no difference. My PS4 PRo also has no issues when I connect it through my AVR to my Projector. It seems to only be the
    xbox that thinks th projector doesn't support HDR10.
