Firefight should be replaced with FF Doubles

Seriously. Who thought it was a good idea to drop Doubles and keep the regular list? It doesn't have enough voting rounds, the population is extremely low most times, and even when you get 4 people in a lobby it's laggy as all hell. Half my matches end up
doubles or solo anyway from people lagging out or quitting. I've been on Reach for 230 DAYS worth of playtime time now. I'm tired of having to quit constantly because they're aren't enough voting rounds to get even one of the 3 maps I like, or noobs with almost
no FF time vote me into maps I hate. I only play Holdout, Beachhead, and Overlook.

Honestly, I don't need the help to begin with. People just annoy me. I run Holdout from start to bonus round solo on a regular basis without dying. If people really want 4 player FF, let them go on the Anniversary FF list. The time limit could use another 5
minutes. Getting to the bonus round on Beachhead solo is extremely rare for me, but I've done it a few times. Many times, I get the last drop coming in and run out of time. 95% of the people I run into are terrible at FF. I'm tired of setting their "Highest
Official Score" with my score alone while they barely break 10k, if they break 10k. I'm not kidding either. I break 100k on Holdout with 1-2 randoms in the match on a regular basis. Then I still see bad kids trying to hide for perfections. I'm not your janitor.
Earn your damn commendations and credits.

Then people shoot me because I'm taking all the kills. Half the time, they ruin my Beachhead bonus round because they won't leave the rocket hog alone. It's MY bonus round. I carried your worthless -Yoink!- through the match, and I want my wheelmans with my
2nd controller gunning that hog.

Oh. You want your challenges? Stay out of firefight unless you're actually here to play. Go back to matchmaking, and leave firefight to the professionals. You don't deserve to be in the same lobby with me. I don't care how good you think you are in matchmaking.
Firefight is my domain. Get 469 kills in one match without dying. Then come see me.

p.s. How did the person who came up with Fistfight not think to put the Black Eye skull on? Black Eye on and Catch off would've made that gametype worth playing.

I can understand the removal of the other playlists, they split the players too thin. If people were playing firefight doubles, it was because they didn't want to play in a group of 4. Please bring back FF doubles!

Firefight? I sometimes play FF but only with dedicated friends, I prefer playing with people who won't quit!

I am afraid 343 are not updating Halo Reach as of the release of Halo 4. However they may come back to it in the future.

Yeah, that came as a surprise to me too. I think it should be at least two rounds; it would still be under fifteen minutes and both people could get 100 + kills. Maybe 343I will make some changes to it

August will see a Matchmaking update (next Tuesday, as a matter of fact), but then the monthly updates will go on hiatus while we focus on shipping Halo 4.

August’s update is about consolidating playlists and streamlining the experience. When we make these decisions, it’s based primarily on population, statistics, and trends, although a few other factors do come into play (such as achievements). Retiring playlists
is a painstakingly difficult process, especially as some of those that go away are amongst our personal favorites. However, it is a necessary step when the goal is maintaining the overall health of a matchmaking experience.

The playlists that are being retired in August’s Matchmaking playlist update are Anniversary BTB, Anniversary FFA, Firefight Doubles, Action Sack, and Squad DLC. We’re also using this opportunity to reorganize the playlists. The new categories will be Standard
(i.e. Vanilla), Evolved (i.e. TU), Anniversary, Community, and Cooperative.

Trimming and consolidating playlists allows those populations to shift to other, often compatible places, creating hoppers with higher populations and lower matching times.

Overtime, playlist hoppers will change according to the discretion of the
developers, 343 Industries, in this case. Changes to playlists have always happened to other past games, including past
Halo titles.

I understand why you are all upset because i am too. I played firefight doubles with my brother or friend a lot. Hopefully 343 is able to make this up to everyone by focusing more on making halo 4 the best that it can be
