    FIOS TV App Not Working


    Why is this app such junk? I've had it over a year with no issues, until the past couple months some channels would switch to SAP audio for no reason. At one point I even had to watch some channels in Spanish, because I couldn't switch it back to English,
    because the app doesn't give you any audio options. But I could live with the audio issues on some channels if the app worked, but after trying to delete and reinstall it, now NONE of the channels work. The menu and guide is fine, but if I try to watch a channel
    I just get color bars. And when trying to change channels, it says it can't connect to the Verizon FIOS server. Been like this for a few days now.

    Does anyone work on this app? I noticed others had problems with the SAP issue, but it was never answered. Please mark the Verizon FIOS TV app as down and not working, because it clearly isn't.

    Verizon Fios App: No Subscription Found Error

    I've been using this app for years. I am still a FIOS subscriper and all devices/internet/TV are currently working fine. I was just using this app the other day as well. However; for some reason today when i attempt to use it I am getting this error stating

    "no subscription found" "Both verizon fios and verizon TV are required to use this app, you are not subscribed to fios tv and fios internet"

    again I am using my internet now. ALL my devices work: laptop, tablet, phone, computers, TV. Just this single app isn't working. I tried reinstalling the app and disconnecting and reconnecting still not working.

    FIOS TV App Not Working After Update

    Just installed the update today and now my FIOS TV app can't authenticate my service with Verizon. App says that Verizon FiOS TV and FIOS internet are required, but I have both, and it's been working fine up until now. Other channel apps seem to work fine
    so far, like FX NOW.

    I'm having the same problems, and I've been calling both Verizon and Microsoft about the issue but to no avail. I've done pretty much everything I can think of on my end, but nobody's been able to help. It's probably an oversight from the developers of
    the app at Verizon. Glad to know I'm not alone in this.

    I've also been having the same problem. I've been speaking with Verizon support and they're trying to foist the responsibility onto Xbox/Microsoft. One, the other, or both need to find a resolution and fix the issue ASAP because either way, I'm paying them
    money (XBox Live Gold and FiOS cable). Just because the app itself is free doesn't mean using it is.

    Yeah, I've talked to Microsoft support and it seems like all they know how to do is tell you to unplug everything and plug it back in, or to delete and re-install.... none of which work. They claim it's on Verizon's end, which I haven't tried yet, because
    they have about a 30 minute wait time.

    I've been having the same problem...and the Xbox.com/support code said to delete the app and reinstall it and clear out the cache and delete my profile and redownload it again..I've been doing that everyday since last Friday....and it still doesn't work...but
    some other apps works again,so far its only the Verizon FiOS app that really sucks and doesn't work...its shows the channel listings but once when I try to watch any channel it disconnect me off the Xbox live all the time

    I'm having the exact same problem. I'm getting an NAT error whenever i do a connection test, but everything else works fine on my xbox.

  9. Hey there, everyone! I am very sorry to see that your FiOS app isn't working for you! I found you in our Apps Discussion forums, thanks so much to arcadi0head, and moved you to our Support forums to get you guys some assistance!

    One of the troubleshooting steps that I would like to ensure you have tried is unplugging your router from Verizon for 60 seconds and then plugging it back it. I do see that you all have tried everything else I would throw at you, so give that a try and
    post back your results! Once I have that information, we'll be able to look at passing this along to the appropriate people. FIOS TV App Not Working :)

    I really appreciate your patience while we work on getting this resolved! Test out that power cycle for your router and we'll go from there.

    Plugged and unplugged it several times now, it's fixed nothing. For the record, some of the channels do work, but not very many. Most of them either just display colored bars on the screen or give the error that was mentioned in the OP.

    Thanks for helping Misses Quinzel!

    I've tried unplugging the router and even let it sit for as long as 15 minutes before plugging it back in, but the problem persists. ESPN did come back on for a few hours, but then went back to color bars and won't return. Now every channel is just color
    bars or says it can't connect to FIOS server. Games, Netflix, Amazon Video, and everything else works fine.

    I've done every trick in the book and nothing has worked. This has been going on since January 12-13th, with some channels having the color bars, but then eventually the entire app became unusable.

    The other channels technically work now, but the buffering is terrible. Makes them unwatchable.
