    FiOS G-1100 router 360 problems


    I bought the new FiOS G-1100 router a.k.a. "Quantum Gateway Router" about a week ago and every time I connect to Xbox Live wireless on my 360 it will disconnect after 5 to 10 minutes i did the test on my Xbox 360 E it passes all the time and Nat is open
    the signal is full bars too I'm so confused why it's not staying connected. I tried it on my Xbox One which is normally connected via Ethernet tried it wireless and it stays connected to Xbox Live . I've checked the routers settings everything is fine even
    turned and off the 5GHz band N/AC radio just in case it was causing interference so it's just the 2.4GHz band on even though the Xbox 360 wifi radio doesn't use the 5GHz band still didn't fix the problem . So I call Verizon had them send me another G-1100
    router thinking this one was defective because I had another issue with it Ethernet port 4 not working but nope still issue with my 360 is still disconnecting. I can connect my old Actiontec MI424WR (GigE) router to fix the problem but I'd like to use my new
    Dual Band router. Anyone has this G-1100 router with the same issue ?

    I have the same problem too. I believe it is just the new router. I even went out and bought an old Xbox so I can use a wireless adapter that uses the 5ghz connection type. Haven't disconnected yet, but everything feels slow!

    I just recently gotten the new Verizon FIOS Quantum Gateway router too to replace the older Action-Tec MI424WR router. It connects fine to all my devices and game consoles too (PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, and even PS3) except for the Wii and....the Xbox 360 E.
    For me it just straight up won't connect, at least it won't connect wirelessly. I keep the 360 in my arcade cabinet downstairs for all the fighting games like SF4, Marvel vs Capcom etc so it has to be wireless for online gaming also.

    Not sure what the problem. I may take it out to test if wired works later on.
