Finesse shot not working in Fifa

So here's my issue.

I've been playing Fifa 21 on PC since its release with an XBOX 360 controller with a wireless receiver and i've never had any issue. I now had to change controller since one of its buttons broke down so i bought
an XBOX ONE wireless controller.

Everything is fine except the fact that the finesse shot doesn't work. Whenever i press and hold RB and shoot it always does some sort of low shot, not even the regular power shot. All the buttons on the new
controller work perfectly, including the RB button. Thing is, if i go back at using the old xbox 360 controller everything works, including the finesse shot.

It's very weird. Has anyone ever had this issue ?

I don't know tho if the problem is the controller or the game ?

hi there, hard to say without seeing your entire configuration, it sounds like what is happening is you are taking a low driven shot, which is done by holding lb&rb at the same time, so i would check that nowhere you have somehow managed to map the lb &
rb buttons to the rb button somehow, whether it be in the options menu within fifa

you can also download the xbox accessories app on your windows pc from the windows store connect your xbox controller via a usb cable and remap and check any configurations there

i would also check that there is nothing lodged in the lb button where it is either slightly pressed in or something is making contact with the lb pad inside the controller.

I don't like the bumpers, I play a lot of Fifa and its hard to change player with LB and finesse shot with RB. I'll probably get use to it after a while. Other than this, X1 controller is almost perfect.

FYI -- I messed up. A "finesse shot" needs the RB (Right Bumper)... not left. Left bumper is for chips, if I recall.

More specifically it was the triggers. When I changed the triggers for Jockeying and Team mate contain, it changed the triggers I had set for Pace Control and Finesse.

Manual shooting, try using finesse shots, I think they are more likely to be on target.

However I feel that even if not using finesse your shot shouldn't go wildly off target. The shot should go in the direction you are facing on manual. If I'm running right at the goal keeper and shoot then it should technically go right at the goalkeeper, not
veer off to the right or left. It's not like I'm wildly blasting them either. Passing feels right on manual, but shooting, it just feels off. :/
