    Just got a 3tb Buffalo Drivestation setup and moved over 5 games adding up to about 145gbs, came back about 30 minutes later and it was already done.

    And my games are loading faster, like Halo:MCC went from 1:07 (to get into the game) down to 48 seconds, kind of neat.

    Yes. Backing up around 450GB of data on a PS3 took me around
    36hrs. USB 2.0 is the culprit.
    It's not a "proprietary cable", its a USB to SATA adapter.
    It's significantly faster, though you'll have to queue up all the transfers manually. The good thing is once the games are on the external, you never have to reinstall them. This is contrast to disc installs on the 360 where if you
    change the storage device or the console you have to reinstall the game from disc.

    @Ice

    The docking station was plug and play?

    I was going to go that route but wasn't sure how the One OS would see the drive (internal/external or not at all)

    Those enclosures along with SSD should be last longer than regular externals then since they should have less moving parts and heat dissapation correct? I'll have to look into that. Of course SSD's are alot more costly.

    @Dwoop

    Yep, here is the one I'm picking up...

    Hopefully Ice will jump back in and confirm the docking stations are plug and play which they appear to be. I have some older models with jumpers that I was concerned the One would see as something other than an external but the models with only 3.0/no jumpers
    should work fine.

    I've not used a docking station, just single drive enclosures. Not sure how the Xbox One will see it if you have two drives attached. Worth trying out.

    Were your jumper'ed docking stations SATA or IDE? I could see IDE being unsupported.

    there is still plenty of life in the xbox 360 and yes the hard drive fills up quick with games free each month and there are also some games that are only available to the Xbox 360 and the chance of getting to play them on the One is slim to none. Games
    like NCAA Football will never be made again and I figured keeping my 360 around since it's the newer Halo 4 version is a better option than trying to trade in my system and all my 360 games for around $3-$8 each from gamestop. When you figure there's another
    couple of years of life left at a minimum, it will be used.

    I'm still surprised to see how many people are online at a certain for the 360 versus the One still almost a year later.

    Hello "smileskybird" :)

    The 250 GB Xbox 360 E cost about $200 so it isn't worth the upgrade because I still have a barely used " Jasper " Xbox 360 in storage and those 32 GB Flash Drives for $10 each (when on sale) is awesome :)

    Have a nice day or afternoon or night :)
