Finally killed the griffin in white orchard

I finally killed the Griffin in wild orchard by shooting it down over the nearby river, when it fell in the water it died almost instantly great. But when I went to get the trophy it was impossible to move the griffin out of the water! Now the body has totally
disappeared but the mission objective is still saying collect the trophy. My save is after the death of the griffin do I need to start the game again. I was stupid enough to follow the river to see if the body was washed down stream

yeah the first dlc set is available from the merchant that you save from the griffin in white orchard, Yennifer will auto change outfit as soon as you download the dlc, same goes for the gwent card designs, and the nilfgardian armour is available from the Baron's quatermaster.

Loot is kept in a pile of, lets say "meat" somewhere near where the corpse fell. Before you restart you might go back to where you killed it and look around using your Witcher sense for a glowing pile, that should be it.

 

Can your main character swim through the water or will you get killed by going deeper into the water?

 

Use your witcher senses to find the "meat" pile easier. (Left Trigger, hold it down while you're looking for the trophy)

 

Agreed with what everyone else is saying. It's in a pile of entrails/meat near where you kill the mobs.

 

I suppose everyone is still having minor gameplay problems with this game. Such as getting hung up unable to move during combat in some locations . Having to select fast travel twice at fast travel posts. Character moving slow or not all when avoiding
enemy strikes. Game fading out like it's reloading on some missions. Or having to reload previous location and replay to get back in synch.

Other than these minor imperfections this is a superb game IMO and well worth the investment.

I would have said the same thing a few days ago. However, I finished my first play through on regular difficulty, and now I'm starting one on death march.

I had one heck of a time killing the first griffin. Not because I don't know how to play, or how to react to the griffin, but because my character is not reacting to my input properly.

This is entirely different behavior from my first play through. When fighting a griffin I could "make it look easy". I know exactly when to roll out of the way, when to strike, and I've done this enough times in my 150+ hours playing that it comes naturally,
without thinking.

Now I just started my second play through and you'd think I was a complete noob. I hit the roll button 3, 4, sometimes 5 times before he rolls and this is getting me killed over and over again.

Those that have a "sluggish" character like this, are you also on the harder difficulty?
