    Figured it out!

    The special invitation was in my queue, even though it showed 0. I had to download something else (in my case the feedback app for the xbox preview), then the special invite showed in my queue. I cancelled the feedback app and installed the special invitation
    and then restarted the beta.

    Finally got in!!

    My friend got his whole inbox wiped and he couldn't send messages or invites. He was able to finally send me a party invite and told me what was going on. I'm now starting to have problems with sending and receiving messages it seems.

    This is bull! I finally got invited to the world of tanks beta and i cant even redeem my code! Or get a game thats on sale! I swear if they dont fix it before the sale ends in buying a PS4!

    Nice, thats great info. I wanted to mess around with this so bad. I got invited for the beta, but my pc is on the fritz and didnt want to install it on my pc in concers of putting the final nail in my dying pc.

    So for me this is great news....thanks for the info.....

    Unable to Join Game or Accept Invites on Sea of Thieves after installing Steam version

    I got the Xbox live to Connect but I still can't accept invites. I tried some of the suggestions you gave and also added svchost.exe to my bitdefender firewall Whitelist and that final thing did the trick. However, the problem still persists.
