Finally did it!

What is this "It" i hear you ask!? I managed to finally defeat Dark Souls, i got the game when it first came out in October 2011 and struggled with it, even taking great advice from people on this board who knew what they were doing, i still couldn't do
it....mainly Ornstein and Smough. Many restarts, times i just left it alone for a while but since completing Dark Souls 2 i decided to finally finish it and i really didn't struggle too much, thankfully!

So yeah, just wanted to share this and if your struggling with it, keep at it, if i can finish it....anyone can!

Not much of a difference to be honest, 3rd person is just really for viewing your characters epic armour and weapons. 1st person is still a preference to me

 

Congratulations. I've heard how difficult that game is, so anyone who completes it I think is a good gaming achievement.

I've got the first one but never got into it.

More games should be like Dark Souls, not enough challenge in today's poor excuses they call games.

 

I started playing Dark Souls again last month. Completed it just last week and got 1000G on it just a couple of days ago. Fantastic game.

Once you get past a difficult part it doesn't seem so bad the second time around. I breezed through the game on New Game+.

 

Can't beat a challenging game! (Pun intended! lol)

Nothing wrong with a challenge as long as its balanced and fair. Ninja Gaiden was one of the best games i've played. The amount of satisfaction (and relief) when you finally crack a section or boss is amazing.

 

Yep, I know some people that returned Dark Souls because it was TOO difficult.

Nothing wrong with that but I really like games that take time to master and even then are still challenging.

Take old school Donkey Kong games, they were swear inducing but so rewarding. Got the recent sequel DK Tropical Freeze on Wii U plus MH3. Can't stop playing them for the difficulty.

 

When I was younger I really liked hard games, but now I'm older I just want to sit back and relax and not stress over a games lol.

Thanks all, mostly. I have to agree with Troll, more games should have this level of difficulty, tired of playing something and running through it because its easier. Its nice games are catered to everyone but be nice too see things that are just a tad more
difficult.

Well done 1337Gamer!I don't think ill ever get the 1000G nor would i attempt it! I'm breezing through NG+ at the moment, in Anor Londo now doing some co-op, seems to be a lot of people still playing it as i get summoned very quickly.
