Final Fantasy XV on Gamepass problems.

So I grabbed this game to try playing the Comrades mode with some friends. Every time I try to connect to an online lobby, the game tells me a network issue has occurred and disconnects me. Sometimes it tells me that I do not have an internet connection,
though I clearly do as I never disconnect from Discord at any point.

I did get the game to work once but never again. My friends are also playing through xbox game pass and seem to have no issues at all. I've tried playing with both my firewall enabled and disabled, and neither seems to make a difference. I have no issues
with any other games.

Side note, in case this is somehow relevant, it seems I have two xbox accounts and only one of them has gamepass. Randomly it will switch which account I'm logged into, and seems to like to default to the one that does not have gamepass. In the app itself,
if I'm logged into the one that does actually have it, I usually have to log out and log back in, in order for the app recognize that I do in fact pay for gamepass.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know how you manged to get online in this game.

Different networks and routers carry different security encryptions and this might be the cause as to why your buddies did not have to configure anything on their end.

Thanks for the response. I found a way to solve the issue by turning all of the windows security options, defender and firewall on. Weirdly my friends do not seem to have to do this but that's how it's working for me. I am on WiFi but additionally I tried
tethering hotspots from my phone which made no difference at all and also tried using a VPN, which also did not work.

First of all, how are you connected to the internet with your Windows 10 machine, via Ethernet cable or WiFi?

I think the last tidbit of information you described can be causing this. Is it possible that your local windows account is the one that does not have GamePass? In case that this is true, maybe you can try this :

Create another user session on your Windows 10 machine, being this the microsoft account that has GamePass purchased.

Then, try to play from that account to see if it wants to connect or not. I'm telling you to check this just to discard being a conflict between accounts.

It will slowly be added to Gamepass as they finish with the work that needs to be done to get the 360 titles working on Xbox One.

We have Final Fantasy XV that was added on 6 February to Gamepass. Others will follow.
