    Final Fantasy XIV cause my computer to lag


    Recently i’ve had a problem with my computer where when I try to play Final Fantasy XIV, my entire computer slows to a crawl. My CPU, RAM and GPU are all fine and nothing is interfering with the game, so I can't really find the problem. It’s the only game that does it too.

    Even after I reset my computer, it still continues to lag.

    AMD Ryzen 7 4800H with Radeon Graphics 2.90 GHz

    16 GB RAM

    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti

    Thanks, if the issue persist even after a Windows reinstallation everything points to be an incompatibility of the game with your specific hardware configuration

    The best option right now is report this problem to Square Enix

    I am using the steam version of the game and I have tried using different graphic configurations.

    and the lag continues after turning my computer off and then back on.

    the only way to I have managed to fix the issue is by formatting my computer but after reinstalling the game and playing it for a few minutes, the issue returns.

    Additional information is needed please answer the following questions to assist you properly:

    Is this happening with the Xbox app / Microsoft store version of the game?
    Or are you playing the Steam version?
    If you tried using a different graphics configuration the issue persist?

    By the way, when you say "I reset my computer" do you mean that you reinstalled windows?
    If yes, how did you do it? Via settings?
    And what else did you tried to fix this, in that way I can advise you different things or how to proceed
