Final Fantasy. looking for an opinion.

probably not at all what you were thinking of, but give south park: the stick of truth a try. it's a really fun and funny game with a pretty good turn based combat system reminiscent of classic jrpg systems. a really decent 20 hours that you can get pretty
cheap.

 

One thing you have to remember about the a JRPG genre is that the games can be very unforgiving. You can reach a point where if you if don't have the right equipment then you're knackered as you can't go back.

As suggested, the best JRPG for the 360 is Lost Odyssey. A very good game indeed with a well written story which is unheard of when it comes to Japanese gaming.

Final Fantasy....bleh!

Sorry lawd but I wouldn't recommend FF (For Xbox 360) so to speak. I finished 13 two years ago and well I'll just explain. Right, only until 3/4 of the game do you actually get to freely roam as you will though the world map unlike previous FF where you
actually could do as you will. FF13 battle system was unorganized, storyline was terrible as well as bewildering. Characters are incredibly annoying as well as trying to imitate previous beloved FF characters. Even since SquareEnix formed after FFX, the series
has been terrible. If you want to play FF, I'd recommend 10 or below.

FFVI is my favorite for multiple reasons I can't ruin for you. FFVII seems to be adored by everyone, FFIX is another one. FFX because I could change the main character's name "Tidus".....something inappropriate and humorous. They may be dated but ultimately,
storyline + gameplay > graphics and everything that was wrong in FFXIII. Also, I have a soft spot for some of the characters.....hehe, Setzer....you player!

 

Needless to say I spent 72 hours of my life playing FFXIII.....oh boy, what was I thinking. I was especially *** off that they made a "FFXIII-2" and a third one for that particular game. At this stage, SquareEnix are only in it for the money.
