Final Fantasy 9 on Game Pass for PC input issues.

I have tried with both the controller and keyboard, but the "A" button has to be pressed multiple times to get it to actually do anything as an action. The speech bubble lights up as if I was pressing it each time but it doesn't actually do anything until
after a few tries. It does't do it on dialogue or in the menu, or playing cards. It is only when I am picking up items or initiating a conversation. Any suggestions? Is this just because the port is bad or am I the only one with this issue?

I FIGURED OUT A FIX FOR THIS!

It was driving me insane at first, but then i managed to mess around with my monitor settings and i worked it out. I was running 1080p at 144hz and then i switched my monitors refresh rate to 60Hz and it made the game playable.

In regards to the button switches, i cant help with that, as button remapping isnt a thing as far as im aware. I just used an old PS3 controller in my PC and it worked fine.

its an absolute joke. I just downloaded and attempted to play the ff9 remake from microsoft store (I'm paying monthly sub for a game pass).

Can't play the jump rope game or the sword fight between zidane and blank at all. also all button inputs in game are in xbox controller without any option to change to keyboard inputs or key to transcribe between the two. So when I am asked to push "x" on
xbox controller i am left to guess what input to press, and then it doesnt work anyway due to input lag/ghost inputs. Completely scandal and unplayable.

I am having exactly the same issue. I want to beat the skipping part at the start of the game but the input to the 'A' button is EXTREMELY fiddly. I managed ten jumps max after about 2 hours.... To say I was annoyed is an understatement as I thought I
was just bad at the game!

Im experiencing the same issue. The first mini game is basically unplayable as my inputs are not recognized unless i press the button several times and one happens to register. The game also won't let me see the k+m controls in game and in thw options
screen, even when the controller is not connected. I can't choose between control types either so I'm stuck just seeing the controller inputs even when using the k+m.

To me Final Fantasy 7 & 8 was a let down! Final Fantaxy 9 however gave me everything i wanted and that was the real fantasy with charming characters. Part 7 & 8 was about being looking tough. A game named final fantasy should have charming looking characters
and part 9 has that! nuff said
