    My son is very gullible and very poor in judgement of people. Unfortunately he would fall prey to questional people easily. He believes every one online is who they say they are. Im concerned with him not being able to differentiate between other kids
    and some questionable people out there. He has an Xbox one but i have filtered the games he plays because of this reason. However like any 9 year old hes begging for fortnite and other games . Is there a way i can filter the people he can connect with, like
    a set list of friends and/or only local people? I want to limit who my son can connect with when he plays fortnite or other games if possible. Any one know if this is possible. Any help is appreciated .

    Thank you. Thats unfortunate. They live in two different towns. I was hoping there was a way to lock in a certain friend list for him but there is not. Microsoft should look into that. It would give more kids access to more games. I know hes only 10 but
    hes like every 10 year olf wanting to be like his 12 year old cousin.

    They could play together but you would need 2 consoles to do so. Unless they took turns playing on the same console.

    Fortnite has a PEGI rating of 12 that means it is not suitable for persons under 12 years of age. I would not allow a 9 year old play Fortnite for that reason alone.

    And you can restrict a child account from the privacy settings preventing online communication yet you can't pick and choose a list of online friends.

    Hi you can monitor things if you set up a family account. You can set time limits and content restrictions. Authorize purchases and downloads. A lot of parents use this feature. Here is the link to get started

    My son is almost 10 and his 12 year old cousin plays Fortnite with a few friends. I was hoping they could plat together only.
