Films and TV app update

I can't find any other posts on this topic, but I can't say as i'm impressed with the latest update to the Films and TV app. The feature to purchase the next episode when binge watching is a massive step backwards. Previously, when I watched a TV episode,
the next in the series that I owned would automatically play after the previous one ended. Now, my viewing is interrupted by a prompt to buy the next episode in the series. If I don't want to, and just want to watch the next episode that I actually own, I
have to back out of the menu, back to the episode list. It's not as if it were difficult or inconvenient previously to find episodes if I did want to buy them. It feels like a rather cynical, money grabbing change. It gives the appearance of a market vendor
hawking their tawdry wares. I have always been pleased with the service up until now, but I feel we are going down the dark road of my Xbox being another avenue for incessant marketing and sales pushing to be rammed down my throat.

Films and TV app issues

Hello,

In the last few days the Films and TV app has been having a few issues. It loses quality, constantly buffers, the sound goes out of sync with the pictures, and it seems to skip back a few frames occasionally.

I'm on a cable connection (Optus), the Xbox is wired directly into the cable modem, and I have no issues with streaming using the Films and TV app on a Windows 10 PC on the same network.

Please help - content is pretty much unwatchable at the moment.

Hey there,

Launching Film & TV is correct, that's the app used by the Xbox when casting to it. Try uninstalling Film and TV them reinstalling it. With the anniversary update it switched from an Xbox App to a UWP app, that might be where you're having issues.

Is it one particular video you are having issues with, or all of your videos? What format are they? Also, Is everything connected over WiFi or Ethernet, or a combination?
