    Film & TV App since Windows 10 Update


    Hey,

    I am not sure if many others are having this issue but there are a couple of annoying things pop up since I got the windows 10 update on my xbox.

    First is with the casting. Whenever I cast a video from my SP3 to the xbox in the first instance I get the audio stream but just a connecting message on the TV. To make it work once I hear the audio I close the program on my SP3 & cast the file again.

    Second issue is that while watching a video, my TV will go super dim after a few minutes almost as though the xbox thinks it is inactive. To get the brightness back I have to press a button on the remote. Not a big deal but annoying all the same.

    I am unable to play videos using Films and TV app on windows 10 mobile. It shows the error code: 0x800706ba and says go to www.xbox.com/support.

    Hello everyone! Since the last update the headlines are writtin wrong. (German) For example "filme & TV" or "musik" are nouns and have to writtin in upper case. In the right form: "Filme & TV" and "Musik". Is it possible to make an update? Sorry for my bad

    Connecting an XBox 360 to a windows 10 PC

    If you are talking of movies you have purchased from the Films & TV app, then you do not need to do anything, as the Xbox 360 and Windows 10 have their own Films & TV app, just log in on the device you want to watch those movies, and then launch the app.
    Your movies should show.

    If you have movies that you have purchased elsewhere and using the app to watch them. You only need to turn on the play to option on the xbox 360, then when you start the app on Windows 10, start a movie, then in the bottom corner of the film there will
    three dots. Select it, and choose cast to device. The Xbox 360 should show up. select it, and it should play on your console.

    i have the same problem. I can look the trailers of films without problem and if I want to look the film I get the 0x800c000b error.
    I can also watch trailers, but no films that I have purchased. I have reset my router, reset my Xbox, restored purchase films on the app, restalled the film and tv app, restalled my xbox profile, checked that I'm online. I had an update to the windows store
    the other day, both on my PC and Xbox. I can only assume that this has done it. I can't even download the films on my PC.

    Hey there,

    Launching Film & TV is correct, that's the app used by the Xbox when casting to it. Try uninstalling Film and TV them reinstalling it. With the anniversary update it switched from an Xbox App to a UWP app, that might be where you're having issues.

    Is it one particular video you are having issues with, or all of your videos? What format are they? Also, Is everything connected over WiFi or Ethernet, or a combination?
