    File System Error (-2143322101) When Opening Minecraft Launcher


    I recently had a GamePass Ultimate Subscription on my xbox account. During which time I did not even open the Minecraft launcher on my PC. Now that my subscription has ended, and will not be renewed, I cannot open the Minecraft launcher on my pc, even though I was signed in to a different account on it, where I bought the Java Edition about 3 years ago.

    Whenver I try to open the launcher, it either says that I need to "renew Gold subscription" or it shows a popup that says "File System Error (-2143322101)"

    I believe the issue is that the launcher is logging in to my Xbox account , which is the account that I have the user on my PC connected to, and it will not let me log out of that account in the launcher so I can log into my other account, that I bought Java Edition with.

    I did not have anything like this issue before I had a GamePass subscription.

    I migrated my Mojang account to my personal account, a gmail account. But the launcher seems to only want to use my Live account and wont even open at all to let me log in to my gmail account.

    Select the Start button > Settings > Accounts , then find the Microsoft account you used to sign in to the Xbox app and select Remove. Then go back to the Xbox app and sign in with the account you want and try again.
