There have been some issues with Xbox PC games and anti-virus software. These have mostly manifested themselves as Blue screen Windows errors. There won't be any viruses from the official source of the Xbox app. The most likely result here is a false positive from your Anti-virus application. It's not a real virus.

If Windows Defender is reporting this as a virus, I highly recommend you insure your Windows and anti-virus definitions are up to date.

I've seen this same False positive virus reported on the Steam version too, but an update fixed it.

And this is why you don't run outdated anti-virus or firewalls while you game

Xbox threads are encrypted

You shouldn't be scanning then but things you download from shaddy websites

Xbox files are not only encrypted but are t readable by pcs

There are some errors and outdated information in your reply. bigbeans2 has said they've downloaded directly from the Xbox App. Most PC games downloaded via the Xbox Application are no longer encrypted, especially games that have been installed to C:\XboxGames.

I'm really not sure what you're talking about. We are not talking about modifying games here. I don't know what you mean by the App container either as this is not even mentioned.

As I said before, most Xbox PC games installed via the app do not install to an encrypted folder anymore.

This goes the same with steam or epic etc
