File downloading on the new microsoft edge?

So with the new update to microsoft edge on the xbox one I noticed that a feature which was pretty important for me has been taken out of the browser, that is being able to download a file. So I was wondering if its possible to still download files from the browser and if so then how?

According to some Xbox users apparently, the new Microsoft edge download feature has been removed, according to insiders the feature will be added again in a future update.

It is.....in prevois edge i used to click media fire links or something to download and it downloads!!and i can open that file in file manager on xbox.....now on new edge nothing shows up that its download ed or not.

This new Edge Browser is great. Relax, they will fix the ability to download files like before.

Microsoft Edge wouldn't give you a virus, it depends if you download files and wesbites

Same here. Yesterday, I was able to download 2 files, then , suddenly I couldn't. Now, nothing happens when try to downloading a file... very strange. Microsoft Edge browser used to allow download some files.
