Fight Night Champion for XBOX ONE = A Spammer's Paradise.

So I was overjoyed to hear that Fight Night Champion was FINALLY made backwards compatible for XBOX ONE. To put things into context here, I was one of the few players that has played FNC on Xbox 360 for seven years since it came out .. so it is telling
that game play on FNC 360 version held my entertainment and attention for 7 years, whereas FNC XBOX ONE has failed to hold my attention for more than 7 hours.

Whatever tweaks have been made to the game play in the Online World Championship mode have crippled it, and reduced it to an arcadey, mind numbing experience. Whether it was done unintentionally I do not know ... but IF done intentionally, I can only imagine
it was done so that the numerous new/returning players would have everything they need to get stuck straight in and start winning fights, rather than having to take time to actually learn what was a very deep gameplay system, and actually gain a level of skill
from this time.

My main gripes are these ..

(MAJOR PROBLEM) BLOCKING - Blocking has been thrown out the window. Where as in the past you had to time the initiation of your block alongside your opponents punches, now it does not matter. If you have invested skillpoints in block, they are wasted
.. whether moving backwards or coming forward, or against an unco-ordinated opponent who doesn't even know how to throw a combination to break your guard, none of it matters anymore .. Blocking is a thing of the past.

MOVEMENT - Considering that blocking is dead, all there is as a means of defending yourself is moving backwards away from your opponents punch. It's probably something that is exacerbated by the fact that I cannot defend myself with block anymore, but the
movement feels less precise, and much more floated (though this is also probably caused by the updated controllers.

STRAIGHT - The straight punch was always King, even on Xbox 360, but even then it was not the heat-seeking missile it is currently, so much as that the hook and uppercut are near insignificant. The straight (against how things work in real boxing) can be
thrown from a longer range and land (helped by the fact that blocking is DEAD), but it is also equally as effective on the inside .. for some ungodly reason. The straight should not be effective when two opponents are up close to each other .. change this
and hooks and uppercuts might just make a comeback.

HEAD MOVEMENT - Also seems to be a thing of the past .. it was something I made great use of in FNC Xbox 360, but now the majority of attempts to time punches and dodge them with head movement fail miserably .. which further encourages people to get on their
horse and sprint backwards to avoid punches ... Head Movement is a BIG part of boxing, but is a non-existant part of FNC XBOX ONE.

All of these problems, at the end of the day, stem from the fact that BLOCKING IS DEAD. If you cannot block then you have two choices of how to fight, either you run backwards forever, spamming the only useful punch, the straight .. or you go all out attack,
spamming the only useful punch, the straight. Neither choices are actually what happens in boxing .. and neither are fun for more than a few hours. If the answer to a question is simple, then there is never a challenge to solve it .. and if all you answer
is simple questions, you will never learn enough to answer complicated questions in future. If FNC continues with these tweaks to the game play, all you will have is a spammers paradise, where nobody holds a modicum of skill, because skill isn't rewarded.

As somebody that has played FNC for FAAAR longer than I'd ever admit to anyone I know, this stuff NEEDS to be fixed.

I remember trying to play that game online when it first came out, every single player i met just spammed the straight over and over, as it lost no stamina and you couldn`t hit them back.

If you did manage to find a way round it they just quit out of the game.

I don`t think i ever finished one match, the ufc games got that way too.

There is a chance you are being booted from games if you are winning, but they can`t hack your account.

Once a game gets older and all the money has been made on it, the developers lose all interest in it and will never fix it.
