Fifth Xbox controller with broken left analog stick!

I'm a loyal Xbox and Microsoft customer but my patience with this brand is running thin. My fifth Xbox One controller has broken with the exact same issue as the previous four... a broken left analog stick! The controller sticks or locks when pushed in certain
directions and clicks. This makes driving games or Fifa completely unplayable as you can't change direction properly.

From speaking to friends and looking on forums i can see this is a serious and ongoing design flaw with the controllers but this is ridiculous. The 90 day warranty is no use as they generally last about this long. Surely Microsoft need to take responsibility
for this and replace them?

Can anyone advise? Im not willing to spend another £50 on top of the £250+ I've spent on controllers in the last 2 years.

It's weird because i never broke any Xbox Controller and i have the console since the beginning. I game every day since many years and i have never a problem with the controller. Take better care of them i think

Sorry to hear that you're experiencing this problem again.

Well, the thing that we most commonly suggest to do would be to follow the steps outlined in

Troubleshoot your Xbox One wireless controller. The ending step of which does suggest that you get your controller repaired.

I have also heard though that some of our customers have had this problem resolved by getting a cotton swab, dabbing it in a little bit of alcohol and cleaning the base of the analog stick that is giving you problems. It could help as sometimes dirt can
get in there and cause issues.

I recommend giving that a shot if/when you get a chance and let us know how that worked out for you.

This totally depends on the user and their play style. Some people just have a more aggressive gaming style or push buttons harder. Electronics will always have general wear and tear as well. That's why they come with a limited 90 day warranty. You may
want to try the Elite controller, Its awesome and has replaceable thumbsticks, Also it can repaired (once) within a year (usually)

Thats got to be the biggest load of rubbish I've ever heard this is my 5th xbox one controller and I have the same problem left anologue stick issues on all 5 controllers. How come I never had these issues with xbox 360 controllers. I also own a PS4 and the
controller is still going strong from day one.

Wow, this is a surprise. I have only had one controller that I had an issue with and it was a factory defect from the start. Some of my controllers are many years old. My Halo controller that originally came with my Xbox still works flawlessly. I
don't know if it is due to me rotating out the controllers I use or what but I have not had anywhere near the issues you are having.
