FIFA and Shadow of Mordor not going past the start screen

Every time I go to play FIFA 15 or The Shadow of Mordor it starts perfectly fine then as soon as I press A it stays on the start up screen. It hasn't frozen as the sounds are still playing and the background is moving but doesn't let me get further than
that. I've tried starting it offline and the same thing happens and also I've tried to uninstall FIFA as it's a download however it doesn't do anything when I press uninstall. I've also got Destiny which runs fine so I'm completely confused as to what it could
be... Any ideas??

Are you having any issues with any of your other games? I had been playing forza which works fine, but I just tried battlefield, shadow of mordor and Fifa and all 3 start then return me to my dashboard

 

Disc not being read randomly.

I'm reviving this post... I literally bought my X-Box a day and a half ago and bought two games: Shadow of Mordor and Destiny. Was playing Shadow of Mordor for an hour so and was going to switch over to Destiny. Popped Destiny in, said it couldn't read the
disc. Tried again, still couldn't read it. Popped Shadow of Mordor back in, and now it couldn't read it even though I had been playing it five minutes earlier. Reset the system and still nothing. Hopefully, like some of you guys, it'll start working again.

 

Hi BanksyBoy96, try powercycling your xbox (Hold power button down for 8 seconds) It can help with issues like this. Let us know if it works.

I have the same problem see thread further down the page. Power cycling doesn't work. Sent xbox for repair and still not fixed after it came back.

 

This issue is for fifa 15 madden demo 15 and nhl demo 15
