FIFA 23 Xbox one version purchased on a Xbox series X console.

Greetings everyone. I just bought an xbox series X console mostly because i wanted to play FIFA 23. I had never imagined that there would be an XBOX one version of fifa 23 in an XBOX series X console market and I accidentally purchased the wrong version of the game. First time I played yesterday , when the game got released and today I tried contacting to xbox support with no success after realising what i have done( a friend of mine visited me and realised it as soon as we started playing). My refund request got denied with no explanation just because " I have played the game ". Well im pretty sure that this rule of not refunding when the game has been played is there so that people cannot just buy and refund games when they are bored of them because that would be an infinite game try bug. After tons of tries trying to contact with an xbox supporter ( real person and not a bot ) , nothing helpful happened so im writing here. I just want microsoft , xbox , ea to know that I dont want to get a refund and thats all. I want to buy the xbox series X version of the game which is MORE EXPENSIVE. You will not lose money!! Help a customer here boys. Thanks in advance.

You have installed the game version, if you purchased the FIFA 23 ULTIMATE EDITION XBOX ONE & XBOX SERIES X|S you will be able to install both games.

Simply search FIFA 23 XBOX SERIES X|S on your Xbox Series S to install the correct version.

Not quite what they were asking. Those FIFA's have Series X|S versions.

However, since Series X (with its optical drive) plays Xbox One games, the list goes back to FIFA 14.

Note, none of the Xbox 360 versions are backwards compatible.

You should but the FIFA 23 Xbox One since Xbox Series X|S versions of the games are not compatible with Xbox One consoles.

There are game bundles that include both Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game.

FIFA 23 is available on Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles, EA Sports FC 24 will also be available on these same platforms.

Keep in mind that EA sells each version separately, i.e. there is FIFA 23 for Xbox One and FIFA 24 for Xbox Series.

The Xbox One version can be used on Xbox Series without problems, but the Xbox Series version cannot be used on Xbox One.

I have the same problem. I have just bought the wrong Fifa 23 version. Instead of Fifa 23 x box series S accidentally I bought xbox one version. And didn't even installed it. Let's wait for the refund result as I made a ticket refund recently.
