FIFA 19 Won't Start (XBOX)

FIFA 19 Will not start on my XBOX. When I launch it shows the new Title screen for about 10-15 seconds, then shows a black screen for 10-15 seconds, then drops back to the main home screen. Please Help!

Try following this My Xbox One game won’t start or freezes during gameplay article.

One recommended step to try is to restart the console.

The process of this is to:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
   Note Pressing the Xbox button will open the guide from any other screen on the console.
   
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Restart console.
4. Select Yes to confirm.

No. Rebooting or restarting does not work. This is the only game with the issue. It's not a freezing issue … it's a 'won't actually load the game' issue.

Paul from Xbox Forums Team here to assist with the issue, It looks like the game Fifa 19 isn't loading properly. What I suggest doing is uninstalling the game and then re-installing it. Please let us know if that helps resolve the issue.

Yes uninstalling and reinstalling the game does mean re-downloading the entire game.

However, you should not lose any save game progress!

My Fifa 19 won't start as well, so tried to uninstall and reinstall, it's in the progress, hope that would work

 

having to uninstall and reinstall as well... only thing is for whatever reason its taking 15+ hours to download the fking game which means i wont be able to play at all this week because this is the only time i actually have to play games due to work and
school, huge annoyance :/

 

Yes that is so annoying. Mine also takes 24 hrs to download. But after reinstall its working fine.

Ea should have to compensate for this.

 

Microsoft and EA are TRASH. I buy xbox one x and within a day of having it I have to go buy an aftermarket power cord for the thing. Hmm. Can’t even make their machine correctly. MICROSOFT = TRASH. Then I buy fifa 19 even though I know that it’s going
to give me problems and make me rage. Instead I try to be positive. I buy this game from terrible EA, it takes about 20 hours to download. Wake up this morning expecting to play fifa right? NOOOPE... instead I find a forum talking about me having to reinstall
this game. EA = TRASH
